Fuck Hurricane Helene and Milton for taking away the only time I would of had to see this in theaters. This is incredible from the acting to the makeup design.
Hey Margaret 😮💨
]]>I’m not sure what I was missing when I first watched this on Christmas but I’m glad I gave it a second try. Much more enjoyable upon second viewing.
Lighthouse - Northman - Nosferatu - Witch is how I personally rank Mr. Eggers films.
Bill Skarsgard finally isn’t in a box office bomb!
]]>Not quite my cup of milk.
]]>Shoutout to Chris Stuckmann for the recommendation. Unique, creative comedy that “mostly” worked for me.
]]>I agree Bob. I too, wish people would fuck off and let me be whatever it is they don’t want me to be.
]]>An all time political-based film, with a great mix of McKay humor and showcasing evil in its true form.
Tesla CEO man has some big shoes to fill.
]]>This and the 2019 remake are each directed by different, unique, creative directors and yet both feel directed the exact same.
Lion King musical score will forever be goated tho.
]]>The world does not give enough recognition to Christoph Walz.
]]>I was ready to love this, thinking it would be an easy top 5 of the year for me. While there are parts of greatness throughout and visuals that are stunning, this is not my fav Robert Eggers flick.
]]>Funnier than the first, sorry not sorry. Also, what happened at the Christmas pagent was NOT Kevin’s fault! Fuck Buzz.
]]>A slightly better version of the last 2 simply because it dials down the human subplots way more. Shadow the Hedgehog was well done.
]]>I’m not as into Christmas movies like I used to be but Home Alone 1 and 2 will always be played in this household.
]]>Upon rewatch, this is actually really terrifying and an amazing sequel in terms of improving on everything from the original.
Naomi Scott is going down as an underrated scream queen.
]]>Started off like bad early 2000s Marvel movie and then slowly turned into a bad Sony Marvel movie.
These movies are so bad and bland and I look forward to seeing this studio try this shit again.
]]>A throwback stoner movie in our lord’s year 2024. Thank you Rachel Zegler.
]]>Let the dangertainment begin up in this motherfucker.
]]>If there was a Letterboxd BOTTOM 4, this is forsure a first ballot pick.
Some may have 3, Resurrection or the Rob Zombie movies at the bottom of their Halloween list but this is the one for me.
Poorly made, weird deaths, thorn cult bullshit, a shit Michael Myers mask and a debuting Paul Rudd staring out of a window the size of his whole God damn body.
]]>If youre only a movie fan, this was The Rock’s best work of the year.
If you’re a wrestling fan, it’s surprisingly not.
]]>Best modern day Disney Princess.
]]>A Chris Nolan movie you can see is always amazing. But a Chris Nolan movie you can hear? That’s peak.
]]>Sorry for pointing out the obvious, but there’s no question Ridley Scott’s filmography is like top 3 of all time.
]]>That was pretty good but don’t tell my girlfriend that.
]]>Should’ve nominated Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho for the Democratic nominee.
]]>Admittedly, the beginning kind of rushes through the set up, but after that it turns into a banger. It is so refreshing to see Russel Crowe act so righteous considering his recent filmography.
]]>Gave it an extra half-star because this definitely means we’re getting The Final Boss in WWE forever 🙏
]]>Hugh Grant completely gaslighting all the characters carried.
]]>A movie that makes me wish I was alive and going to the theaters in the 90s.
Why didn’t Tommy just let him take the coffee pot to-go?
]]>I can acknowledge most will like this more than me. I feel like most of these MCU shows have similar patterns where the first episode or two have a great setup, the middle kinda drags, and then the last episode or two pick up.
Here’s to hoping Daredevil Born Again can actually get Marvel Studios to treat their shows like shows and not extended movies.
]]>About the same as 4 except worse characters, a way worse Michael Myers mask, and it begins to show more of the Thorn Cult garbage.
]]>All other found footage movies can sit tf down as far as I’m concerned.
]]>I should hang a picture of the Overlook Hotel on my wall and use it as a litmus test for my guests.
RIP Shelley Duval, you went through hell to elevate this movie.
A fine, safe and kinda not special sequel. Danielle Harris is a good child lead forsure. The biggest gripe I can honestly give is that it starts the absolute WORST continuity in the Halloween franchise.
]]>Andrew and Florence seem like real cool parents.
]]>Another hit in the Sony Marvel Universe! Can’t wait for Venom V Madame Web: Dawn of Justice.
]]>I think I’ll play this at my MawMaw’s on Christmas Eve. The fam gonna love this 🤗
Also just realized the actor who played the Uncle has my name and one of the characters in the movie has my dad’s name.
Real good stuff in here, but by the end I was left confused about the perception of parts from earlier in the film.
That man shat his draws.
]]>I definitely love this movie more than I remember my first 2 viewings. It’s really grown on me.
It’s a true love letter to Alien, pulling things from so many different parts of the franchise (including Alien Isolation 😁😁😁😁😁)
I’m not a difficult Alien fan to please. I love the isolated horror, the intense action, and the scientific lore about the creation of life that previous films have done differently. This movie does all of that.
THEY GOT A FUCKING BASKETBALL PLAYER TO PLAY THE HYBRID THING TOO WTF
]]>I love Michael Caine as Alfred so much. Despite his lessened screen time he has 2 of the best scenes in the movie.
Also can confirm: Batman’s official superpower is inexplicably getting back to Gotham.
]]>Ayo have y’all heard of this movie?? Pretty good ngl
]]>Best comic book origin movie IMO.
And while I love me some Battinson and Batfleck, Baleman is still #1 for me.
]]>Disgustingly good.
]]>My personal favorite horror movie. Objectively speaking, I think it can be discussed as one of the best of all time.
This was one of those first few movies that got me intrigued with “cinephile” type of films. It’s also perfectly balanced with artsy horror and scary bat-shit horror that I think it can draw almost anyone in.
Toni Collete is an underrated scream queen and SHOULD have gotten an oscar nomination.
I’ll never forget my first viewing, at a theater with only 3 other people in it at 9:40 p.m. (😅😅😅)
No matter where life takes me, you can find me at a showing for every Ari Aster movie that comes out. He’s a craftsman.
]]>“Sometimes hearts have their own conversations.”
This was beautiful. As a young adult going through a early life crisis, this comforted me so much. It’s exactly what family animated movies should be.
]]>Just pure, sickening fun.
]]>With each Halloween continuity this one ages better. It keeps the simplicity of the original but the story isn’t as compelling.
The bath tub kill is a top 5 death in the whole franchise.
]]>I won’t lie, the movie doesn’t scare me pretty much at all anymore. I’ve seen it a billion times and sure, some of the scares are outdated.
But as a historical piece of film, it’s wonderful. I just enjoy the ride. I love the atmosphere, the way in which certain scenes are set up, and the overall simplicity.
Also…isn’t it just great to have a Halloween movie where Michael Myers killing people is…not explained? And not given some weird lore?
]]>I didn’t hate it, but as I felt when this sequel was first announced, it kinda feels pointless. I just don’t think the movie does anything to justify why this story needed to continue.
It is well directed, acted, and has good scenes throughout, but it felt directionless storywise.
The musical aspect really is not as much of a vocal part of the movie as I expected. Lady Gaga was good, but she was there moreso to serve Arthur’s character as opposed to playing Harley Quinn.
Oh and that ending….okay lol.
So overall….it’s fine?
]]>This is what Transformers needs to be. The final act is incredible and made everything in the movie prior to it even better.
If there was any case to make “best voice actor/actress” categories, this definitely makes a case.
]]>A lot of different themes at play, but I think what stuck to me the most was the estranged attachment and friendship between Maddy and Owen.
Ultimately, friendships are important, and what you bond with over those friendships makes it stronger.
]]>“I’m sorry for cursing.” - Me whenever I first started to use the phrase “what the hell” in 6th grade
