Imagine not accepting Keanu Reeves as one of the greatest action stars of all time. Appreciate the blessings Reeves has given you.
The actions sequences in this movie are like a fucking orchestra and Johnathan Wick is the god damn conductor.

Always always funny when John Wick just throws a gun at someone. Flawless ending. That dog doesn’t even know they’re running for their life. He just thinks it’s exercise time. He’s feeling blessed.
The characters in the John Wick Cinematic Universe live in their own little world. They have their own code, currency, language and plenty of 5 star hotels to stay in. Everyone is connected. Every single person is a player in a giant game of chess. We don't see outsiders. Cops don't investigate. Damsels aren't in distress. Innocents don't get caught in the crossfire. It's like John Wick and the Gang are shadows living in an open world. Now, it's Chapter 2 in the life of John Wick, and if you can believe it, it's the best chapter yet!

God, I love a sequel where you can feel the budget increase in all the right ways (no more soundtrack!) A perfect commitment to the tone of this world. So much of this movie feels like it was created by an anthropomorphic Ed Hardy shirt, but they create a universe where that vibe fucking rules?
Rides the line of farce and sincerity so well in every aspect that it gives me a similar feeling as the Fast & Furious films, but with a lot more clear commitment to producing something where everybody involved is really just showing off. They make so many big moves to remind you they’re in on the joke, from that Buster Keaton projection to the $7 million hit sequence. Never gonna forget the pure adrenaline of that ending and how psyched it got me for chapter 3. Was struck this time by the sudden recognition that innocent bystanders are definitely getting murdered in these gunfights.
This movie doesn't have the beautiful emotional simplicity of the first movie but it DOES have a shootout in the Oculus and a fight scene on the PATH train and a shootout in a hall of mirrors and a scene where Keanu kills people with a pencil so how the hell did it not win 10 Oscars?
I must admit, I wasn't as in love with Chapter 1 as every one else seems to be but kept hearing great things about Chapter 2 and now that Chapter 3 is hitting theaters, I thought I should catch up so I can see the new installment on the big screen.
Liked this film much more than the first... and I'm not sure why. Maybe because it seems to be bigger in scope and I love the addition of Peter Stormare (who's clearly having fun with the role) and of course Franco Nero. And maybe it's Franco Nero's presence that made me realize how it seems to be greatly influenced by Italian spaghetti westerns. Great stunts and beautiful NYC, Rome and Quebec locations.
Looking forward to seeing Chapter 3.
A significant improvement from the first, the action is more enticing and the story is more engaging. The two halves of this movie are kinda two different movies, and while the first half is solid enough, the second half is exhilarating and satisfying. I love how well set up the rules of this universe are, to the point where I actually said "Oh no" out loud during a certain scene. You know the one.
YES i’m officially on the john wick train!!! chapter 2 is unafraid to revel in the silence of its fight scenes, only punctuated by punches and grunts, instead of relying on cloying, fast-paced music to incite excitement. every fight kicked my ass, but the subway sequence in particular jammed a pencil into my aorta, and the mirror room duel yanked it right out. i’m on the ground hemorrhaging blood but i’m completely at peace with dying at the hands of mr. john wick. in fact i’d prefer it
