Am I the only person on Earth who doesn't think this movie is completely terrible? Like it's almost good. I almost want to recommend it. At the very least, there are things in it worth recommending. Wow I had no idea there was a Superman 4. This was terrible, so of course I loved it! Apparently plagued with production issues Reeves thought he ruined his career.
The original cast is back and there are 3 nonsensical plots. The daily planet being bought out, Superman ridding the world of nukes, and Lex Luthor creating nuclear man. So many plot holes and idk what was happening or why most of the time, but you just gotta go with it and have fun lol.
Cheesey and cheap with terrible special effects. This is like a live action cartoon. I need a directors cut. But Reeves will forever be my Superman. I've seen worse. And this is still better than…

You know this was going to be a disaster when you noticed that this movie was produced by Cannon Films. How is it possible for the VFX to look much worse than they did 9 years earlier? The filmmakers were so cheap they reused the same flying shot over and over again. I'm stunned. Apparently, it's because the production experienced severe budget cuts due to Cannon's financial woes. That's not the only thing wrong with this movie. There's a hokey Cold War-era world peace message, it wastes time by being a lame screwball comedy, there's this silly OC villain named Nuclear Man, and Lex Luthor has a punk son named Lenny. The entire thing feels like self-parody and it's disgraceful. It's a shame that this is the last Superman movie with Christopher Reeve and Margot Kidder. These movies started so high only to crash to the deepest lows.
