Prologue (プロローグ, Purorōgu) is a special chapter of the KonoSuba Bakuen manga series, and covers the Epilogue in Volume 3 of the light novels.

Several weeks after arriving at Axel, a starving Megumin is still rejected by the other adventurers at the Guild. Yet when browsing the bulletin board, Megumin notices a new recruiting advertisement from a party consisting of an Archpriest and an Adventurer that is only looking for advanced Classes. She then overhears an Adventurer wearing a green jersey debating with an Archpriest with blue hair over that advertisement being too restrictive and unattractive, so without any other choice, she approaches them before introducing herself in Crimson Magic Clan fashion as the Archwizard Megumin who wields Explosion Magic.
After the Adventurer chides her for messing with them, the Archpriest explains how the Crimson Magic Clan which Megumin is one of are all powerful mages with weird names and personalities, at which the piqued Megumin begins recollecting how it all began a year ago in the Crimson Magic Village.
