The Destroyer From Crimson Magic Village (紅魔の里からの来訪者, Kōma no Sato Karano Desutoroiyā) is the fourteenth chapter of the KonoSuba Bakuen manga series, and covers:
Summary[]
While the fearful civilians huddle inside the carriages, Arnes easily defeats the last of the attacking adventurers, leaving them all incapacitated over the ground. As Megumin calls for her to stop, Arnes mocks her for fleeing the whole time, before threatening to kill everybody in the caravan who were purposefully left alive if she runs again. Zapping with Lightning one adventurer who got up and tried charging at her from behind, she laughs at Yunyun who pulls out her dagger.
But when Yunyun tries to defend Megumin, Megumin instead throws Chomusuke far away, prompting Arnes to fly away and catch her. During the distraction, Megumin prepares to cast Explosion now that her target is in the air, only to be stopped by Yunyun since Chomusuke will be killed too. While the two of them argue, Arnes prepares a powerful spell, at which Megumin tries to convince Yunyun how that they need to sacrifice Chomusuke, or else they and everybody in the caravan will die. Yunyun accordingly starts to praying to Eris the goddess of fortune, Aqua the goddess of water, and even the nameless dark god sealed in their village for salvation, despite Megumin finding it pointless in this cruel world.
At that moment, a divine aura shines from the nearby Axel as something godly descends onto this world, which surprises Arnes by its power so much she drops Chomusuke towards the ground, where Yunyun catches her just in time. In the meantime, Megumin completes her preparations for her Explosion spell, and upon the Demon realising how she is a real Archwizard who doesn't hold back, casts her Explosion which obliterates Arnes.
Megumin later wakes up in a carriage, where the caravan leader praises her while reminising Arnes's hot body with some other adventurers. Yunyun then declares how she will keep on training and learn Advanced Magic, before the little girl thanks Megumin for saving them. As the caravan rolls into Axel, Megumin sees among various adventurers a young man wearing a jersey rejoicing his arrival at what he calls a "fantasy world", while the woman with blue hair beside him panics about being unable to return home, and decides not to have anything to do with that pair.
Receiving monetary gifts from the caravan leader in addition to getting rooms at an inn, Megumin immediately asks around at the inn restaurant about the voluptuous wizard who can cast Explosion Magic, and gets told about the impoverished shopkeeper owning a magic item shop, whom she decides to hold off visiting until she becomes a full-fledged adventurer.
Early next day, Megumin while anticipating heated adventures and exploded foes takes Yunyun to the Adventurer Guild, where she enters loudly to introduce herself and draw attention, yet to her embarrassment the Guild is empty at that time of the morning. A receptionist then offers to verify their Adventurer Cards so they can start working as adventurers, but Megumin decides to let Yunyun verify first while she waits for more people to be present.
After some time, Megumin thinks that there are enough adventurers around, so she goes to Luna and loudly declares herself as part of the Crimson Magic Clan coming to verify her Adventurer Card, which impresses the other adventurers within earshot. Looking at Megumin's stats on her card, Luna is amazed by her magical power, although they are not as high as the woman from yesterday. Some other adventurers then crowd around to recruit Megumin, who believes that her adventures have finally begun.
