After 19 people were massacred at a disabled care facility in Japan, disabilities advocate Kath Duncan asked Mr Singer whether his views inspired such violence.
Ms Duncan only got part way through her question before Mr Singer cut her off to ask, 'And you think that I'm supporting this in any way?'
Host Virginia Trioloi was quick to jump in and hose down the hostilities, telling Mr Singer to let Ms Duncan finish her question.
Ms Duncan continued: 'In Japan, just last week, 19 disabled people were murdered.
'Aren't your views dog whistling to these sort of people?'
...
Mr Singer has been a vocal advocate for parents' rights to euthanise newborn babies born with severe, life-limiting disabilities.
He pointed out the difference between these views and supporting the slaughter of disabled adults in Japan.
He said: 'What I'm talking about is decisions that are being made all the time in neonatal intensive care units in hospitals where at the moment parents do get a say if it is a question of withdrawing treatment, withdrawing life support from a severely disabled infant.
'What I'm doing is trying to give parents a say in questions where they're the ones who are going to be forced to look after this child, whether they want to or not.
When pressed on his stance, he added:'It is the parents and doctors making a decision in consultation. It is not some crazy guy going into a unit and killing people.'
