Alberto Robina is a minor character in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories, also appearing as a multiplayer character in the latter.
Alberto Robina was voiced by Jorge Pupo in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories. Although he briefly speaks to Tommy Vercetti and Umberto Robina in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, his voice actor is not credited.
History[]
Background[]
He was born in Cuba and is the father of Umberto Robina, the leader of Los Cabrones. Alberto is thus an associated member of the Cubans. Some time prior to 1964[1] he moved to Vice City and opened Café Robina in Little Havana, which is where Umberto Robina and the Cuban gang members hang out. He is a widower[2]. It is revealed in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories that he has a heart condition that might be syncope.
Events of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories[]
Alberto's only appearance in the storyline of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories is during the mission Papi Don't Screech, where Victor Vance is hired by Alberto's son Umberto to pick the old man up from a wrestling event at the Hyman Memorial Stadium and drive him to his café before he misses the opening deadline, while avoiding Cholos, who have been seen by the Los Cabrones driving towards the stadium, presumably to kill Alberto.
Events of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City[]
Alberto appears several times during the intro cutscenes for missions given by Umberto Robina in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. He is usually seen behind the bar or talking to other senior gentlemen. His voice is briefly heard when he speaks to Tommy Vercetti and his son Umberto, however, his voice actor is not credited.
