Dinah replaced Fifi the Peke as Pluto's girlfriend in the later Disney cartoons.
Dinah appears as Pluto's girlfriend although she sometimes dates Butch the Bulldog as well. She first appeared in The Sleep Walker, and made appearances in several other cartoons: Canine Casanova, In Dutch, Pluto's Heart Throb, Wonder Dog, Pluto's Arrow Error, Presto Pluto, and Pluto's Magic Paws. She also made a brief cameo in Bone Trouble. It is shown that she had puppies of her own, in The Sleep Walker and Canine Casanova. She also appeared in the House of Mouse episode "Big Bad Wolf Daddy".

- Pluto and Dinah kissed each other two times (the first time in "Canine Casanova" with Pluto licking his lips covered with saliva after giving her a big, wet one on the mouth, and the second time in "Presto Pluto") - not counting Dinah licking Pluto's lips at the end of "Canine Casanova". (Note: Real-life dogs kiss by licking each other's mouths, unlike some cartoon dogs kissing each other like humans.)
- Dinah dumped Butch in "Pluto's Heart Throb" after the latter gave her a big, slobbery kiss, pushed her into the swimming pool, and left her to drown in the process.
