Pluto Runs Away is a cartoon short made by Disney Television Animation. It was originally aired as part of the eighth episode of Mickey Mouse Works on June 19, 1999.
Plot[]
Mickey gives Pluto a steak bone, but tells him not to dig up the yard. However, Pluto disobeys Mickey, who angrily confiscates the steak bone for a week as punishment. Believing that he's being mistreated, Pluto gets very upset, kicks his bowl in a nearby hole, removes his collar, and runs away while avoiding the dogcatcher. He eventually bumps into Pete, who offers to take him and give him food if Pluto can dig a large pool in his backyard.
Though Pluto accomplishes his task in digging up a new pool for Pete, he is horrified to learn that Pete has no intention of feeding him any food at all, which drove an angry Pluto to bite Pete in the nose before running away again. However, Pluto ends up being captured by the dogcatcher and sent to the pound, and Pluto misses his life with Mickey. Fortunately, Mickey comes up to pick up Pluto and clear up the misunderstanding, and Pluto returns home to become Mickey's pet again.
