Not The Aurora Borealis

Friday night or rather at 2 am Saturday, we woke up to go outside to see if we would see the Aurora Borealis. All the neighbors had their outside lights burning so we couldn't see much of anything.

Saturday night, I went outside after 10 pm. Besides all the neighbors outside lights burning with enough magnitude for them to be seen from space clouds were moving in.

I did capture a very nice image of Ursa Major (Big Bear or Big Dipper)

We'll probably try again in the wee hours of Monday, but I'm not hopeful. Seeing the Aurora Borealis will most likely remain on our bucket list.

    1. It clouded up and rained. I think that's the end of this event.

  2. That's a cool photo. Friday night when everyone around us seemed to see the Aurora Borealis, we totally forgot about it. We out the other 2 nights but even though it was dark, we didn't see any. I saw them once decades ago when I was in college on an crazy road trip and we were sitting in Acadia National Park on a Saturday night. But I'd love to see them again, so they're still on my bucket list. Enjoy this gorgeous day!

    1. Hmmm, I was skeptical, too, but a bunch of news stations are reporting the Aurora was seen in Florida. If it's on the Internet or Fox it must be true 😉

    1. We had the clouds move in after Friday. We weren't in totality for the eclipse, but we didn't go get the special glasses so I just watched all the hoopla on television.
