Inquisitive by nature, there’s a science to Ian’s motivations for applying to Big Brother.
Growing up in the bush as an only child, Ian developed a fascination with ecology and biology, which his geologist parents encouraged. To this day, they still take an annual family holiday together to sightsee, hike and do a little fossil hunting.
Ian loves his job as a waiter and it’s helped him develop his people skills. He’s keen to see how he fares being out of his comfort zone on Big Brother and how far he can go in the game without compromising his true self.
Ian feels his determination and adaptability will be an asset in the house and hopefully the Housemates find him as interesting and fun as his girlfriend, friends and family do.
In terms of weaknesses, Ian’s worried about his physical strength when it comes to the Challenges. He’s also gullible and tends to get distracted quite easily.
Ian will be strategic in forming alliances and use logic to bring people around to his way of thinking. A big softie at heart, Ian will be disappointed by Housemates who would hurt somebody just to further their own game. Playing with someone’s feelings is one thing he absolutely won’t do.
He also dislikes close-minded people who aren’t willing to listen to, or accept, viewpoints that go against their own. Ian’s never needed much money to be happy and hasn’t made up his mind on what he’ll do with the prize money if he wins. Ultimately, he’s just looking forward to a bloody fun time.
