Following poor ratings from the Seven iteration of the show, Big Brother was quietly dropped by the network in 2023. However, on September 15, 2024, Network 10 announced that Big Brother would return to its original network, for the first time since 2008, with Mel Tracina as the new host. Unlike the four previous seasons of the show, this edition returned back to the original eviction format.[1]
