Pinoy Big Brother: Kumunity Season 10 is the 10th season and 16th edition overall of Pinoy Big Brother.
Background
Development
On August 6, 2021, weeks before its official announcement, The Big Brother house facade was surrounded with a blue construction barrier along with a big poster saying "A New Community Will Rise Soon" as a PR Stunt. The PR stunt went viral and sparked online clamor among fans, celebrities, and alumni housemates, discussing whether ABS-CBN would finally demolish the Big Brother house or it's just on its way to its 10th season. [1]
On August 27, 2021, Pinoy Big Brother officially announced its 10th season via the noontime variety show, It's Showtime and its official social media pages. That same day, Pinoy Big Brother launched a virtual reunion with its former housemates on Kumu, hosted by Bianca Gonzalez. [2] On August 30, 2021, Pinoy Big Brother had its first virtual media Conference for the season, via Dream TWOgether Media Conference alongside ABS-CBN produced P-pop Groups BINI and BGYO.[3] In addition, Pinoy Big Brother also published a mini-documentary entitled House C on its official Youtube channel. The mini-documentary highlighted the struggles that the show's production staff have faced while producing the previous season, Pinoy Big Brother: Connect, amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The documentary showed behind-the-scenes footage of the staff's lives inside the Big Brother compound throughout the season's production bubble. It also highlighted overcoming challenges such as maintaining strict safety protocols, transforming the studio compound's offices as staff accommodation, and dealing with reduced crew members due to the COVID-19 pandemic and ABS-CBN franchise renewal controversy. [4]
Casting & Kumu Partnership
Similar to the preceding edition, Pinoy Big Brother: Connect, Filipino social media app Kumu returned as Pinoy Big Brother's official partner this season, and PBB collaboration for this season with Kumu is expected to be even bigger after last season's innovative attempt for a more digitally engaging competition. Paolo Pineda, Kumu's SVP for Business Development mentioned “We have so much more to offer to our viewers coming from all the learnings in Season 9. We are definitely looking forward to this Season.” Pineda also hinted that Season 10 is set to become another grand season of PBB stating, “There are so many things to get excited about this new season! First of all, it will be one of the longest Big Brother seasons in its history. Plus, it will be a complete mix of genres, from celebrities to adults; and finally, there will be quite a bit of twists and turns for this season.” [5]
Like Connect, the auditions would take place online via Kumu where they could submit 1-minute entries. For this season, the age range was changed to 20-40 years old for adult housemates and 15-19 years old for teen housemates. Each batch had separate audition dates; The online audition for adult housemates took place from September 1 until October 31, 2021, while the online auditions for teen housemates took place from November 6 to December 31, 2021. For the season's celebrity cast, ABS-CBN Executives would send invitations to Filipino celebrities. [6] On September 15, 2021, Pinoy Big Brother announced via Twitter that 50 Kumu live streamers with bronze and silver badges were qualified to join Online Big Brother House on Kumu. Out of 50 streamers, two would get selected to join this season's celebrity cast as additional celebrity housemates. [7]
Kumunity Involvement
- Online Bahay ni Kuya (Online Big Brother House): Kumu Streamers with bronze and silver badges compete for two additional slots to become celebrity housemates. Jordan Andrews and Benedix Ramos won the Kumu campaign and became part of this season's celebrity batch.
- Kumunity Decides: PBB Community in Kumu can influence decisions and house events throughout the season by joining the season's official Kumu group called "PBB Kumunity Season 10".
- Kumunity Votes: For the second consecutive year, Kumu serves as an online voting platform of the series where Kumu users also have the power to vote for evictions. Apart from SMS Voting, Kumu users can also vote to save and vote to evict in Kumu's Campaign page by sending virtual diamonds to the nominees. 1 virtual diamond is equivalent to 10 votes.
- Kumu Live Feed: Similar to Connect, there were four Kumu cameras in the house showing 24/7 live feed.
- Houseguest for a Week: From November 6 to November 12, 2021, Pinoy Big Brother and Kumu launched a campaign for Kumu Streamers where the winner would have a chance to enter the house and become a House Guest in the season's Celebrity Batch for a week.
Eye Logo Changes
This season introduced a new Big Brother eye while still keeping with the franchise's branding inspired by the Philippine flag. Compared to the flat-designed eye logo used in Otso and Connect, the Season 10 eye logo featured a 3D design. The center of the eye featured a modified version of the Philippine sun, now with ten rays, while ten stars surrounded the sun. The franchise title now has a blue and red gradient color, but the edition title still retained the yellow color used in Connect.
Theme Song
On September 5, 2021, via the Sunday musical-variety show, A.S.A.P., ABS-CBN released the official theme song for this season, entitled "Pinoy Tayo" (lit. We Are Pinoy). The Season 10 theme song performed and produced by Filipino singer-songwriter Rico Blanco, was a modified and modernized rendition of the original theme song of the franchise, Pinoy Ako (lit. I am Pinoy). Compared to the original version, the Season 10 version had a slightly different composition and added traditional Filipino musical instruments such as the kulintang and bandurria. [8][9]
Format
This season is divided into three Kumunities (a portmanteau of Kumu and Community); the first Kumunity being a Celebrity Edition, followed by Adult Edition, and then by a Teen Edition. Each kumunity will have its Final 5 finalists and will name its Top 2 winners. The Kumunity Top 2 from the Celebrity, Adult and Teen editions will advance to the finals and they will be joined by 4 Wildcards who will be selected through a series of Comeback challenge to form the season's Biga10. In the final phase, the Biga10's Celebrity, Adult, and Teen would battle out in a three Kumunitests to get the Big 4 slots and reach the Big Night finale, where one of them will become the Kumunity Season 10 Big Winner.
The House
For the first time since 2011, Pinoy Big Brother made a renovation on the house's facade. The new look of the Big Brother house now featured a mix of yellow, blue, red, and white colors, dropping the classic blue and yellow color scheme. The facade's new colors were based on the season's logo, which was inspired by the national colors of the Philippines.
The house interior featured an eclectic mix of 21st-century interior design trends popular in social media like Instagram and Pinterest. The interior combined experimental trends, notably neotenic, abstract, and geometric styles, seen on furniture and house decor, along with subtle hints of art deco and Mondrian-inspired patterns. The house's colors varied from dreamy pastel colors, such as pink and cream, to bright colors, like shades of red, blue, and orange. The house also features neon signs with the show's iconic phrases, such as "Hello Philippines, Hello World". Interestingly, some parts of the house have minor changes in each edition. The house's neon signs changes depending on the iconic catchphrases of each edition while the Confession Room's color changes every edition; Yellow in Celebrity Edition, and currently Red during Adult Edition.

Celebrity Cast Reveal
From October 6, 2021, to October 9, 2021, Pinoy Big Brother introduced the first 12 housemates during the Big Celeb Reveal on Kumu and the show's official pages. Volleyball athlete Alyssa Valdez, Singer KD Estrada, and social media star Madam Inutz were the first celebrities introduced. On October 7, singer Anji Salvacion, comedian TJ Valderrama, and beauty queen Samantha Bernardo joined the cast. On October 8, comedian Brenda Mage, actor and streamer Eian Rances, and actress Alexa Ilacad became the third set of celebrities introduced. On October 9, singer Shanaia Gomez, MMA fighter John Adajar, and former DJ Karen Bordador was the last set of housemates introduced before the launch. The first 12 housemates entered the house on the season's Kick-Off Launch.
During the season's first week, actor Kyle Echarri, dancer and model Chie Filomeno, and actor Albie Casiño were introduced as part of the official cast. Kumu streamers Jordan Andrews and Benedix Ramos joined the cast after winning the Online Bahay ni Kuya contest in Kumu. There were 17 housemates who officially became part of this edition; 15 celebrities were chosen by production, while the other two celebrity housemates came from the Online Big Brother House campaign in Kumu.
Celebrity Twists
- Empty House: The Celebrity Housemates entered a semi-furnished house containing only a dining table and bed frames. The housemates must buy the rest of the household items using the Big Coins that they collected from their Ambagan Livestream Task in Kumu during the sequester period. Throughout the pre-season Kumu task, the housemates collected 6,190 Big Coins given by the Online Kumunity, and 1 Big Coin is equivalent to 10,000 Kumu Diamonds.
- Kumunity Pantry: Throughout Week 1, the celebrity housemates could only ration and get food supplies they needed through Big Brother's Kumunity Pantry instead of getting daily supplies in the storage room. The Kumunity Pantry would only open during shopping and cooking hours, and the housemates must only take supplies needed within that certain period of the day. The Kumunity Pantry was based on the Community Pantry movement that gained popularity in the country during the pandemic, where neighborhoods set up community pantries to encourage people to trade goods and help each other get food supplies for free.
- The Powers: On Day 8, Alexa Ilacad, Brenda Mage, and Eian Rances received three stars as their group's reward for having the most virtual gifts contributed in their pre-season Ambagan Task on Kumu. These three stars contained rewards and powers that they could use at any point in the game. The powers would remain effective throughout the edition but they could only be used once.
- Power to Contact Someone from the Outside World: Eian chose a star containing a power that allows him to talk to someone from the outside world.
- Power to Automatically Nominate a Housemate: Alexa chose a star with the power that allows her to automatically nominate one housemate for eviction.
- Power to Save a Nominated Housemate: Brenda chose a star with the power that allows him to remove any nominee from the nomination's list, including himself. Brenda eventually decided to use his power to save himself from getting nominated on Week 8.
- Nomination Immunity Pass: On Day 23, Madam Inutz received the immunity pass after winning as the most followed celebrity housemate during the Follower Sprint Campaign in Kumu. She could use the immunity pass at any week within the edition, and if used, she would be immune from the nominations. On Week 9, Madam Inutz used her immunity pass, sparing herself from the week's Face-to-Face Nominations.
- 48-Hour Unli Viewer Voting: Beginning on Week 4, Big Brother gave the viewers an unlimited voting power to save and evict nominees within 48 hours every week.
- Double Eviction: For 4 consecutive weeks, on Weeks 7,8,9,10 respectively, two nominees were evicted from the Big Brother house.
- Face-to-Face Nominations: On Week 9's Nominations, the housemates nominated in front of their fellow housemates.
- Positive Nominations: For Week 10's Nominations, the housemates voted positively, and the housemates with the Top 3 lowest positive votes were nominated for eviction.
- 10 Million Diamonds Challenge: On Week 11, during the final week, the Final 5 housemates competed in the 10 Million Diamond Challenge where they could earn Kumu Diamonds that they could use to give votes to themselves on the edition's finale in addition to the viewer Votes. The Kumu Diamonds are the virtual currency used on Kumu, the official voting platform of the season. With the Kumu Diamonds that they collected throughout the four-part challenge, each housemate gains the power to give save votes to themselves or give evict votes to other housemates.

1 | Sequester Period | Ambagan Task Big Brother tasked the first 12 sequestered celebrity housemates to livestream on Kumu throughout their sequester period from October 7 to October 14, 2021. Unknowingly divided into four groups of three, the housemates livestreamed to gain diamonds from the PBB Kumunity in Kumu. Every 10,000 Kumu Diamonds that each housemate collected was equivalent to 1 Big Coin. The diamonds collected were converted into Big Coins after they entered the Big Brother house. |

1 | Shopping Task The celebrity housemates entered an empty Big Brother house, with only a dining table and bed frames. To completely furnish their new home, the housemates must buy the household items in the Activity Area. They had to use the Big Coins they previously collected to buy the household items. Divided into groups from their Ambagan Task, each group must enter the activity area and buy as many household items as possible within 100 seconds by taking the corresponding item tags. As an added challenge, the groups must become human containers while shopping around. After 100 seconds, the household items that each group managed to bring to the cashier counter would be the only items they could take into their house. |

This week, the housemates must become online auctioneers or live sellers and sell 500 clothing items by livestreaming on Kumu. Big Brother also allowed the housemates to set the prices of the items. They would only have 3 hours per day to do their live-selling task. The housemates must sell out all 500 items by the end of the week to win their weekly task. As an additional reward, whatever revenue they'd get from live-selling would go to their chosen charity. |

Big Brother allowed them to use three originally written songs and three cover songs. Their story must revolve around Philippine mythical creatures, namely the Kapre, Tiyanak, Tiktik, and Sirena. At the end of the week, the housemates would have their live performance. Their musical must have at least 80,000 views from Kumu, Facebook, and Youtube to win their weekly task and get a budget for next week. The Kumunity Decides determined the housemates who would play two of the four main characters as an added twist. Five minutes before their live performance, Big Brother only revealed the Kumunity's decision, Kyle, as Kapre and Alexa as Sirena. |

If John completed his secret task, Big Brother revealed he could help an unnamed housemate get a reward. 4 | 24 | On Day 24, Brenda received a fun secret task from Big Brother concerning Alexa's college graduation. However, instead of giving a quiz to his housemates, he must pass the test given by the housemates. To complete the task, the housemates must approve of Brenda's English skills. Winning the secret mission would allow Brenda to give Alexa a graduation pictorial inside the Big Brother house. | Graduation Pictorial for Alexa | Passed

Big Brother Food). They chose the traditional Filipino dish Sisig and traditional Japanese dish Ramen as their menu. Throughout the week, the housemates must operate their restaurant. The fans and viewers within Metro Manila were allowed and encouraged to pre-order online, and the housemates must properly prepare and serve the orders. Big Brother partnered with Grab Express on having 30 Grab drivers deliver the ordered dishes to the customers throughout the cities in Metro Manila. Two factors would determine the success of the task: The online restaurant must get sold out, and they must accumulate at least 1000 star ratings from the customers. The proceeds of their weekly task and their livestream jam night on Kumu were given to Philippine Mental Health Association. |

They must earn 100 tickets by playing Big Brother's giant arcade games. However, Big Brother also gave them the Freeze Task. The housemates must freeze and pose in their signature toy poses whenever they hear the sound of a door opening and a person walking in, similar to the Toy Story movies. For every instance, Big Brother would put various distractions inside the house that the housemates must ignore. Any movement from the housemate would result in 1 task violation, and Big Brother would deduct one ticket for every violation they committed. |

2nd Kumunity: Adult Edition
Background
Adult Cast Reveal
From December 26 to December 30, 2021, Pinoy Big Brother introduced the first 10 housemates for the Adult Kumunity throughout their "Unboxing Livestream" reveal on Kumu. Zach Guerrero, Thamara Alexandria, Seham Daghlas, Gin Regidor, Michael Ver Comaling, Laziz Rustamov, Aleck Iñigo, Nathan Juane, and Raf Juane were the first 10 housemates introduced prior to the edition launch, and entered the house during the Adult Edition's The Big Arrival Kick-Off launch.
On January 6, 2022, five days after the edition's launch, Pinoy Big Brother revealed the winners of Kumu's Online Big Brother House contest as part of the edition's cast. Andrei King for the Male category, Kathleen Agir for the Female category, and Roque Coting Jr. for the LGBTQ+ category.
Temporary Suspension
On January 14, 2022, Pinoy Big Brother posted a Program Advisory on its social media pages stating a 5-day "short break" in compliance with the Health and Safety Protocols. In addition, the advisory also stated a temporary suspension of the 24-hour live stream and episode broadcast from January 14 to January 18, 2022, and instead would release recap episodes of the edition's first week. However, companion shows on Kumu such as PBB Kumulitan and PBB Kumunity: G sa Gabi will continue streaming while original episodes of the main show would resume on January 19, 2022. Despite announcing a 5-day production suspension, the reasons for halting production is due to the surge of COVID-19 cases in the country caused by the Omicron variant, but assured its viewers that the suspension was implemented to "ensure the safety and well-being of everyone involved in the show." [10]
Adult Twists
- PBB Airlines: During the first two days of the edition, the first 10 housemates boarded a 48-hour flight in Big Brother's PBB Airlines. The housemates were divided into two classes; the Business class and the Economy class depending on the rankings of their Kumu Livestream during the sequester period. To retrieve their luggage and enter the main house after boarding PBB Airlines, the housemates had to win various tasks set by Big Brother.
- Secret Siblings: During the edition launch, Nathan Juane and Raf Juane entered the house a day prior to the rest of the adult housemates where Big Brother appointed them as the Airline Captain and Flight Attendant and gave them a secret mission for their first weekly task. Nathan and Raf must keep their sibling relationship a secret to the housemates for the entire week. Winning their secret mission would mean success for the house's first weekly task, and immunity to either of the two Juane siblings. After winning the task, Raf decided to give Nathan the immunity pass.
- Nomination Immunity Pass: It is an immunity pass that the housemates who own it can use once to be saved from nominations at any week they choose. In this edition, two housemates received an immunity pass. Nathan Juane received his immunity pass after winning their secret task while Isabel Laohoo received an immunity pass after winning the follower sprint task on Kumu.
- Team Nominations: On Week 19, the Adult Housemates underwent face-to-face nominations. However, the housemates could only nominate their fellow teammates from their recently concluded weekly task. The housemates with the Top 3 votes from each team would be nominated for eviction.
- Eviction Ligtask: On Week 19, the Ligtask Challenge in the form of an eviction competition made a comeback, wherein the nominees must compete to save themselves from eviction. The two nominees with the poorest performance in the challenge will leave the house.
- Secret Room: After the Week 19's Nomination Episode, Big Brother revealed a secret room, and the viewers can take a peek inside through the live feeds. However, the room's function is yet to be revealed.
- House Players: Two house players chosen from the House Player Campaign on Kumu received the task to push the housemates to their limits, and bring the housemates' worst and best sides. On Week 20, House players Jannene Nidoy and Marky Miranda entered the house, posing as late-entry housemates who could snatch the housemates' Final Five spots while targeting every housemate and disrupting the Adult Edition's harmonious relationship.
- 10 Million Diamonds Challenge: The 10 Million Diamond Challenge returned in the Adults Edition on Week 21, where the Adult Final 5 competed in a series of Diamond Challenges to collect the currency to vote for themselves in the Adult Top 2, alongside the public voting. However, the Adult's version differed from the Celebrity's version as the challenge began with only one housemate instantly holding the 10 Million Diamonds, and the rest of the final five must snatch the 10 Million Diamonds from the current holder by competing against them in the challenger tasks.
- Multiple Evictions: With the house on its fullest with 16 housemates and with no nominations throughout Week 12 to 15, the usual single evictions were replaced by double and triple evictions throughout the Adult Edition.
- Triple Eviction: On Week 19, three housemates were evicted on the same week. This is the first and only batch to have a triple eviction.

3rd Kumunity: Teen Edition
Background
Housemate Reveal
The Teen Edition's housemate reveal began on March 7, 2022, where teen housemates were introduced during the Online Live show and in the season's evening companion show on Kumu every day. The reveal of the first 11 teen housemates would take place throughout Week 21, the final week of its predecessor, the Adult Edition. Throughout the week, Ashton Salvador, Kai Espenido, Maxine Trinidad, Dustine Mayores, Gabb Skribikin, Don Hilario, Rob Blackburn, Luke Alford, Tiff Ronato, Stef Draper, and Eslam El Gohari were introduced as housemates of the season's Teen Edition. Aside from the first 11 housemates, one winner from the Online Big Brother House campaign on Kumu will join the edition's cast. On March 16, 2022, Stephanie Jordan, the 12th housemate was introduced, and Paolo Alcantara, the winner of Kumu's Online Big Brother House campaign completed the edition's teen cast.
Teen Edition OST
For the first time in 16 years, Pinoy Big Brother launched a new and modernized version of the official Teen Edition theme song "Kabataang Pinoy" (eng. Pinoy Youth), which will be used as Kumunity Season 10 - Teen Edition's official theme song. From the original rock version performed by rock band Itchyworms, the song's original composer Jonathan Manalo transformed the new version of "Kabataang Pinoy" into a P-pop song, with two of the leading P-pop groups SB19 and BINI announced to collaborate for the new interpretation of the infamous teen anthem. [11][12]
Similar to the season's versions of Celebrity Edition's "Sikat ang Pinoy" (eng. Pinoy is Famous) and Adult Edition's "Pinoy Ako" (eng. I'm a Pinoy), ABS-CBN's Star Music also released a lyric video of the new version of Kabataang Pinoy performed by SB19 and BINI on Youtube on March 18, 2022. [13]
Twists
- Big Summer Adventure: The teen edition began on "Pinoy Big Brother Camp", a summer camp hidden in the mountains of Rizal Province. The teen housemates will be divided into two camps, Camp Matiyaga and Camp Masagana, and they must accomplish challenges and tasks throughout the week.
- Haves vs. Have-Nots: Throughout the week, the two camps of teen housemates lived in two separate living conditions where Camp Masagana (eng. Abundant) had complete camping gears and food while Camp Matiyaga (eng. Persevering) had limited resources and its campers must earn everything. The teen housemates' pre-edition Kumu livestream task determined which camp they would live in.
- Nomination Immunity Pass: Similar to Celebrity and Adult Editions, the winner of the Follower Sprint campaign on Kumu would receive an Immunity Pass that he/she can use at any week until Big Brother's notice. On Week 23, Big Brother announced Gabb Skribikin as the winner of the Kumu campaign and received the Immunity Pass. On Week 28, Gabb decided to use her immunity pass and give it to Paolo Alcantara.
- K.E.A. (Kuya's Executive Assistant): On Week 24, Big Brother made a surprise announcement to his teen housemates that he'll be going away for a few days. While Big Brother was away, he delegated his social media savvy executive assistant called K.E.A. to take over, and K.E.A. communicated with the housemates through her chat room as Big Brother's confession room was closed off. However, KEA's social media account got hacked by a vile scammer after a power outage occurred in the house. Throughout the week, the scammer used KEA's social media account and started catfishing the unsuspecting housemates, luring them to do devious acts and tasks for him through his seemingly friendly chats. The twist was based on the rising cases of social media fraud and is aimed to give awareness regarding digital fraud to the housemates and the young social media-savvy viewers of the show, particularly its Gen-Z viewers.
- Team House Players: Similar to Adult Edition, Big Brother would select three winners from Kumu's houseplayer campaign to become part of Team House Players, a group of teen house players who are set to enter the house to challenge the character of the teen housemates.
- Unanimous Nomination Voting: On Week 26, the losing team consisting of Dustine Mayores, Paolo Alcantara, Rob Blackburn, Stef Draper, and Stephanie Jordan faced a special nomination process where only 5 of them would nominate for each other and must come up with a unanimous decision to nominate 3 housemates. Big Brother gave them the freedom to create a nomination challenge that they can play or discuss the nominations amongst themselves, and the five teen housemates eventually chose the latter.

Week | Day(s) | Task Title & Description | Reward | Result
22 | 149-154 | Big Summer Adventure The first 12 introduced Teen Housemates were sent to the forests of Southern Luzon, located miles away from the Big Brother House instead of entering immediately. The 12 teens were divided into two camps: Camp Masagana (Camp Abundant), a glamping-style camp where all materials and camping were already provided, and Camp Matiyaga (Camp Persevering), a make-shift camp where they must find their materials and camping gears through tasks. The teen housemates stayed in their respective camps throughout the week where their camaraderie, teamwork, and creativity were challenged. |
Entry into the House | Passed
150-155 | Star Hunt To have their first weekly budget, the housemates of both camps must collect ten stars, stars that represent the 10 main seasons of the show. To get these 10 stars, they must accomplish a series of tasks throughout the week. |

153 | In order to get to know each other, the members of Camp Masagana were tasked to list their memories through two badges: the Badge of Honor (colored white) signifying good memories, and the Badge of Horror (colored black) signifying bad memories. Then, they must explain why and put both of the badges on their respective sashes. | None | Passed
The members of Camp Matyaga were tasked to send a member that would go to the other group, Camp Masagana, for that housemate to get to know the other group. The group played a fair game wherein the last man standing will be their representative and will go to the other camp. At the end of the game, Ashton won against Don and was the sole representative that to enter Camp Masagana. Ashton told the members of Camp Masagana about the other housemates, their lifestyles, on how they live there, their friendships, and their surroundings. | None | Passed
23 | 156 | Back to the '90s The two new teen housemates, Paolo and Stephanie, were "trapped" in the 90s as they got stuck in a '90s themed room. The housemates must help "retrieve" them by participating in a 90s-themed Bring Me task. A set of iconic '90s items were placed in the garden, and the housemates must identify and present the correct item displayed on the plasma screen to Big Brother. But, only two housemates can present at the same time. |
Paolo and Stephanie's entry into the house | Passed
157 | The housemates went inside a '90s themed classroom while wearing school uniforms. In the classroom, the housemates found their respective '90s styled notebooks with their parents' photos as its cover. The housemates were tasked to share their parents' stories back in their youth days as well as the housemates' personal experience with their parents in the present day. | None | Passed
157-161 | Basketball Choreography Ashton and Gabb were assigned as task leaders for their second weekly task. For their weekly task, the housemates must create a basketball choreography where they must perform a dance while using a basketball and incorporating five basketball tricks in their dance. To succeed they must successfully perform the five basketball tricks in their final performance. Big Brother only gave three allowable mistakes or attempts for their performance, and if they had four or more, they would automatically fail the task. |
Grocery Budget for Week 24 | Failed
159 | Tatsing (English: Touching) In order to gain another allowable attempt for their weekly task, the housemates must play a popular '90s street game in the Philippines called tatsing. The housemates must defeat the ninjas (dubbed by Big Brother as Batang '90s ['90s Kids]) that served as their opponents in the game. In the play area, there were thirty slippers that they can hit using a pamato (shooter) away from the area; twenty of those were colored white, while the remaining ten were black. One point was added to a groups' score if a white slipper got hit and has been removed from the area; otherwise, if they hit a black slipper, one point will be deducted from their score. Finals: The Biga10 Comeback
Background
Kumunity Top 2
Initially revealed at the Celebrity Edition finale, each Kumunity would select the Top 2 Winners who would gain eligibility to return for the Final Edition to compete for the Ultimate Big Winner title. These Top 2 Winners would become representatives of their Kumunity, represented by their respective colors: Yellow for the Celebrity Kumunity, Red for Adults, and Blue for Teens.
Biga10 Announcements
The details about the season's final phase remained secret almost throughout the editions until the fifth live eviction of the Teen edition. In the "Biga10 Reveal" segment that began during the May 1 live show, Pinoy Big Brother introduced ten chests containing ten big announcements to the viewers. Among the major announcements were Alyssa Valdez's decision of not returning to the game due to competing in SEA Games 2022, Samantha Bernardo as Alyssa's replacement in Celebrity Kumunity Top 2, and the reveal of the Wildcard twist who will join the 6 Top 2 Winners from their respective Kumunities.
Comeback Housemates
During the final week of the Teen Edition, Pinoy Big Brother revealed the Wildcards dubbed as Comeback Housemates, starting with the Celebrity Kumunity. On May 12, celebrity Housemates Brenda Mage and Madam Inutz were announced as the Comeback Housemates for the Celebrity Edition. On May 13, adult housemates Zach Guerrero and Michael Ver Comaling became comeback housemates for the Adult Edition. On the Teen Edition finale, Big Brother announced Stephanie Jordan and Maxine Trinidad who placed 3rd and 4th respectively as the Teen Comeback Housemates, completing the roster of the Wildcards. Instead of leaving the house, Stephanie and Maxine were sent to a secret area before reentering the house as Teen Comeback Housemates. There were only 4 Wildcard Slots to complete the Biga10 Finalists, and the 6 comeback housemates must fight for their slots to return back to the house.
Biga10 Twists
- Comeback Challenge: To get a spot in the Biga10, the Comeback Housemates competed in three Comeback Challenges. Adult Comeback Housemates Zach Guerrero and Michael Ver Comaling got the 6th and 7th spots by winning the first challenge. The succeeding challenges became a duel for each of the remaining kumunities. Teen Comeback Housemates Stephanie Jordan and Maxine Trinidad competed at the second challenge where Stephanie won the 9th spot, while Celebrity Comeback Housemates Brenda Mage and Madam Inutz competed at the third challenge where Brenda got the 10th spot.
- Biga10 Kumunitests: During the final week, the three Biga10 Kumunities competed in a series of Kumunitests, a combination of Big Jump and Batchbakan challenges, to determine the season's Big 4 who would reach the Big Night finale. All members of the Kumunity who ends up becoming the overall winner of the Kumunitest would get slots in the Big 4.
- Big Four to Big Five: On Day 222, the housemates were able to add 1 more slot to their season's Big Night finale after enduring and completing their final Weekly Task. From the usual Big Four, the season would have Big Five finalists that would reach the Big Night.

Trivia
- Pinoy Big Brother: Kumunity Season 10 is the third combined season to have Celebrity, Teen, and Adult housemates in one season, the first being Pinoy Big Brother: All In; followed by Pinoy Big Brother: Lucky Season 7.
- Excluding mixed editions like All In, this is the fourth Pinoy Big Brother season to air a celebrity edition.
- The second multipart Pinoy Big Brother season after Lucky Season 7 to air a celebrity edition as a separate batch. Both seasons began with a celebrity batch.
- This season's celebrity edition has the biggest celebrity cast in Pinoy Big Brother with 17 celebrities. Celebrity Edition 1 had 14, Celebrity Edition 2 had 16, while Lucky Season 7's Celebrity Edition had the smallest cast with only 9 celebrity housemates.
- This season is the first Pinoy Big Brother season since Celebrity Edition 2 to cast a housemate aged over 35 years old.
- This is the first regular/main season since Pinoy Big Brother 2 to change the cast's maximum age limit: from 35 years old to 40 years old.
- Pinoy Big Brother: Kumunity Season 10's Celebrity Edition is the first celebrity edition in Pinoy Big Brother history without any forced evictions and voluntary exits.
- Pinoy Big Brother: Kumunity Season 10's Celebrity Edition is the second-longest celebrity edition in Pinoy Big Brother history, with a total of 79 days in the house, following Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Edition 2 with a total of 84 days.
- This is the first season since Pinoy Big Brother 1 to have a temporary suspension of the show. While the first season had a 1-day suspension after MTRCB issued a suspension for airing mature content, this season had a 5-day suspension during its Adult Edition in compliance with the health and safety protocols of the show following the spike in coronavirus cases caused by the Omicron variant.
- The season's Adult Edition has the longest number of weeks spent before the first nominations and first eviction in Pinoy Big Brother history. The edition spent 29 days without nominations and eviction.
- Excluding mixed editions like All In and Connect, Kumunity Season 10's Teen Edition is the 9th Teen Edition that Pinoy Big Brother produced.
- The season's Teen Edition is the first teen edition in Pinoy Big Brother where the majority of the teen housemates were over the age of 17.
- Interestingly, this is also the first teen edition to feature a teen housemate who was born after Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition 1 was aired.
