In Big Brother 6(US), his secret partner was Rachel Plencner. He was known mostly for his loud mouth, making Star Wars references, heated arguments with April Lewis, and being manipulated by The Friendship alliance leader Maggie Ausburn into targeting his own Sovereign Six alliance members, James Rhine and Sarah Hrejsa, during his Head of Household reign in Week 5. In Week 9, Howie was nominated alongside his last remaining ally, Janelle Pierzina, during the second half of the second Double Eviction, and when Janelle won the Power of Veto and took herself off the block, Howie became The Friendship's new target. He was evicted when HOH Ivette Corredero cast the tiebreaker vote against him. He placed 5th and was the fifth member of the jury.
Howie was chosen by fans to return for Big Brother 7 (US), again working with the Sovereign Six (now Season Six alliance). He was also remembered for his obsession and banter with housemate Will Kirby. In Week 7, Howie was betrayed by his "Jedi Padawan", the HOH George Allen Boswell, and was evicted during the first half of the Double Eviction by a vote of 3-2, placing 8th and becoming the second member of the jury.
Howie Gordon (born January 7, 1971) was born at Illinois Masonic Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. In his early 20s, Gordon attended Southern Illinois University as a student. A year later he attended the University of South Florida in Tampa. After college, he went into sales. Ultimately he hoped to become a meteorologist. Howie Gordon graduated with a degree in Meteorology in 2010 and is presently applying for positions in Meteorology. He currently works in sales and lives in Chicago, Illinois.
Howie is the first and only houseguest in Big Brother history to be evicted during a Double Eviction twice.
Howie was the only houseguest from Big Brother 6 (US) not to finish in his original placing in Big Brother 7 (US). (Janelle placed 3rd both seasons, James placed 7th, and Kaysar placed 10th).
Howie was the last houseguest in Big Brother 7 (US) to be nominated, being first put on the block in Week 7.
In both seasons he played in, Howie only voted once during the jury stage.
Howie revealed that he was asked to be a Wildcard Contestant for Big Brother Canada 4, but had to turn it down for work. His spot ended up going to fellow BB7 houseguest Jase Wirey, who ultimately did not enter the house.
It is rumored that Howie accidentally voted for Maggie Ausburn to win Big Brother 6 (US), when he intended to vote for Ivette Corredero, but he has never confirmed this himself. Since the vote ended up being 4-3, if this is true then it changed the outcome of the season, years before a similar confirmed occurrence would happen with Topaz Brady on Big Brother Canada 1.
