Andy Meldrum is a contestant from Australian Survivor: Champions v Contenders (2019) and Australian Survivor: Blood v Water.
A self-described "ultra fan", Andy came into Champions v Contenders wanting to play a strategically dominant game. Following the tribe swap, Andy was left scrambling following Sam Schoers' blindside, leading him to attempt to throw ally Daisy Richardson under the bus, causing David Genat to not trust him. Upon reaching merge, Andy was quickly outed for being untrustworthy, and was eliminated unanimously by both Champions and Contenders on the Soli Bula tribe.
Returning for Blood v Water with his sister Kate Tatham, Andy sought to improve his social game. Despite initially falling into a power position on the Water tribe, Andy's controlling demeanor and his previous gameplay led Nina Twine to identify him as a threat and, along with Mark Wales, rally the votes to blindside him at the season's first Tribal Council.

Marketing Executive, 47
An advertising and marketing executive, there's no one more ready to play the game of Survivor than Andy from Noosa.
"The only job I'm focused on at the moment is winning Survivor." He is the ultimate fan of the show and wants to be the ultimate villain.
"I don't just want to win, I want to win big in the most memorable way than anybody has ever won before. The only thing Australian Survivor is missing is an unbelievably compelling and memorable villain as a winner."
Working everywhere from Australia to London and New York, Andy also played poker professionally for four years. He's come to Survivor to win the title but also win for his family and wants to use the money to buy his sister a house and make sure they are all supported.
Andy hopes the Champions are a "group of 12 rich, smug, arrogant, overweight, retired athletes who have no clue how Survivor works," but also knows that going in with too much of a plan can backfire.
"Having been a fan for as long as I have and literally dreaming about playing this game for almost two decades, I want to put my money where my mouth is and see if I'm anywhere near as good as I think I am."[1]
Andy, 49, Advertising Consultant
After Kate pushed Andy to apply for Australian Survivor: Champions V Contenders, not only is it Andy's shot at redemption, but Kate hopes to make her own mark on the game.
Planning to use his skills as a professional poker player to read people, Andy's also ready to try and play a more honest, fun, and good-natured game this time around.
What will be your strength in the competition?
My best chance is probably if they replace all of the physical endurance challenges with puzzles! That might be a long-shot though…
What have you sacrificed to take on this challenge?

Blood v Water[]
Andy returned to the game with his sister Kate Tatham at Blood v Water and was initially placed on the Water tribe, as Kate was assigned to Blood. Andy wanted to improve his social game. After Water lost the first Immunity Challenge, Andy targeted Alex Frost, who suffered an injury, as he saw this as an easy vote. However, Andy's controlling demeanor and his previous gameplay led Nina Twine to identify him as a threat and, along with Mark Wales, turn the tribe against him. At Tribal Council, their plan came into fruition, as Andy was blindsided by a 9–2–1 vote.
