Melissa "Mel" Chiang is a contestant from Australian Survivor: Blood v Water.
Mel's quiet gameplay led to her being pinned as a floater. After surviving a fire-making challenge to make the merge, she and her twin Michelle quickly became perceived by the majority alliance as threats for their potential to become swing votes. Following a valiant but unsuccessful last hurrah to rally the women against the male majority, Mel was voted out at the final twelve.

Mel, 33, Chiropractor, Victoria
Mel is playing with identical twin sister Michelle, who she shares a "twin connection" with.
They're able to know what each other are thinking and can even feel each other's pain.
Melissa is a Survivor super-fan, who wears her heart on her sleeve but is a keen strategist and loves the psychology behind the game. As a social butterfly, Mel makes friends easily and is planning to make alliance a key part of her game plan.
What's one thing people won't expect from you?
I'm quite calculative, and an extreme over-thinker. If needed, I can cause chaos. I also get very hangry so we shall see what happens when the game starts!
Do you intend to make big moves?
Abso-freakin-lutely! If you even have a chance on going on the greatest show on earth and not going to make any big moves – why bother applying?[2]
Australian Survivor[]
Mel was initially placed on the Water tribe, while her twin sister Michelle Chiang, was assigned to Blood. Early on, Mel found herself on the right side of the numbers. On Day 15, the two tribes swapped, and Mel joined Blood while Michelle joined Water. On Day 20, after Blood lost the Immunity Challenge, Mel was considered to being voted out, however, plans changed and at Tribal Council, Amy Ong was voted out.
On Day 25, the two tribes attended Tribal Council. Blood voted for Mel, while Water voted for Ben Watson. Ben and Mel competed in a firemaking challenge to stay in the game. Mel defeated Ben to stay in the game, while Ben was officially eliminated. On Day 26, the two tribes merged into the Lava tribe, where she played with her sister on the same tribe for the first time. The two initially targeted Shay Lajoie, however, at the first Tribal Council of Lava, Khanh Ong was blindsided.
On Day 28, Mel learned that she is about to be voted out. In an attempt to stay in the game, Mel tried to rally the women of the tribe to vote out Josh instead. However, at Tribal Coucil, Mel was voted out and became the second member of the jury. At the Final Tribal Council, Mel voted for Mark Wales to win the game.
