The Gungan personal energy shield was a model of handheld energy shield manufactured by Otoh Gunga Defense League[1] that incorporated hydrostatic bubble technology.[2] They featured a screen of energy that could be turned on or off which protected against both blaster fire and physical weapons.[4] They were used at Great Grass Plains by the Gungan Grand Army as they battled the droid army of the Trade Federation.[3] The shields were either held in one hand or strapped to the forearm.[3] The Gungan personal energy shields were also capable of repelling Force lightning,[6]
