Homing beacons, also known as tracking devices,[1] as a homing signal,[2] or as a tracking beacon,[3] were devices used to track starships and other vehicles.[1] Various vessels, including Slave I and the TIE Advanced v1, could fire homing beacons on to enemy starships with projectile launchers.[4]
