Neith is one of the playable Gods in SMITE.

Lore[]

When time began, there was only endless black waters. Yet, from water comes all life, and from this primordial force was born the first of Goddesses, Neith.

As the waters continued to form the world and everything within it, Neith's natural instinct to protect and nurture the people led her to champion the hunt. With meat she fed them and with hides she clothed them, but as the people she sought to protect grew old, or sick, or died on the battlefield, Neith's compassion forced her to change her calling.

With nimble fingers, the Goddess wove shrouds to shield the lost spirits of the dead on their journey to the underworld, leaving a loose thread she could trace as the ghosts ventured down the river. As time passed, more and more threads spread across the world, weaving an intricate pattern of fate that only Neith could see.

Now, the war between Gods grows ever more fevered, and Neith can no longer sit idle. The threads of fate are fraying at the edges and she must once again pick up her bow and hunt, or watch the world return to the waters from whence it came.

Abilities[]

Passive - Broken Weave

	A Broken Weave appears at the last location that each enemy god dies. The Broken Weaves give her abilities secondary effects when used on the Broken Weaves. These weaves last for 2 minutes.	Notes: Each use of Spirit Arrow and Unravel will only apply one additional effect regardless of how many weaves have been hit. Only one weave spawns per death regardless of how many Neiths are present.

1st Ability - Spirit Arrow

	Neith fires a shot that passes through everything. Each enemy hit takes damage and is Rooted. If the Spirit Arrow hits a Broken Weave, the Weave detonates, dealing an additional 100% of the damage and applying the Root to all enemies in the area.		Notes: Can deal up to 180/310/440/570/700 (+180% of your Physical Power) damage if hit by both the weave and arrow.

2nd Ability - Unravel

	Neith neatly unravels the world weaves, damaging all enemies in the target area, reducing their Attack Speed while increasing her own, and healing Neith for each enemy hit, up to 3. Any Broken Weaves in the area are removed, healing Neith an additional amount.		Notes: Hitting multiple gods will debuff them all, but only apply 1 stack of the buff to Neith. Can heal up to 60/105/150/195/240 health without hitting a weave and 80/140/200/260/320 health if a weave is in its area.

Ultimate - World Weaver

	Neith charges up and fires an arrow across the world, seeking its target through obstacles. Enemy gods take damage and are Stunned. The arrow can be fired quicker for diminished results.		Notes: Must be channeled for at least 2s for it to deal full damage and stun duration. If fired instantly, it will only do 50% damage and stun duration, 65% damage and stun duration if channeled for 1s. Can be cancelled without triggering its cooldown nor cost.

Neith is the mother of Ra, Serqet, Sobek and Apophis, who is the jungle boss of the Slash Map.

The fact Neith is their mother is used as a comedic reference in Neith's Instakill skin promotional video.

Neith has been a free starter character for every new player account created since July 10, 2013. Accounts made before this date must still unlock her (5500 / 200 ).
Neith is the god currently featured in the game's basic tutorial.
Neith is one of the few gods with a leap that only let's them move backwards, with the next one being Ishtar.
Neith along with Ishtar and Lancelot are currently the only gods who have leaps that don't let them move through walls.
Neith's Victory Screen animation and dance emote are a reference to the Internet phenomenon Caramelldansen.
Neith's weaves from her Passive Ability, Broken Weave, used to provide vision in a small area around in a similar way to how the item Ward does.
The actress who voiced Neith, Lindsay Seidel, also voiced Aphra Cadabra Aphrodite, Arachnoid Arachne and Terror of the Deep Scylla.

She also worked on another Hi-Rez distributed game voicing Cassie from Paladins.

This skin is based on a Samba dancer.
This skin was available for a short while as an special bonus for those that transfer their account to the LUG servers.
The name of this skin in the Brazilian Portuguese, "Globeneith", is a reference to the Globeleza, a TV program that cover the events during the Brazil Carnaval and was famous for having a samba dancer as an intro.
This skin changes Neith's dance emote to her dancing a samba.

Instakill

This skin was one of the four skins that are only obtainable by social media, the other skins are Stalker Artemis, Water Dancer Nu Wa and Solar Eclipse Ra.

As of June 2016, the skin is no longer obtainable through linking with an Instagram account.

Harajuku

The original concept for this skin was created by Carlos Martinez (Karulox) who worked at Level Up Games.

This skin was named after a district in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan known internationally as a center of Japanese youth culture and fashion.
