"Unleash the might of weapons empowered by the moon. Keep your foes at a distance until the time comes to deliver the final blow."

Tsukuyomi is one of the playable Gods in SMITE.

Lore[]

Might makes right. To impose order, to bend the world to your will – these are the marks of a true leader. Only a true leader has the strength of will and the force of arms to make his enemies bow before him. Only a true leader deserves the respect and adulation of his followers.

These are the guiding principles of Tsukuyomi's existence. Proud, but violent, he is the God of the Moon and the Night. Wielding his twin tonfa, Shingetsu and Mangetsu, he overcomes his enemies with effortless skill and a mocking laugh, forcing them to bow before him – for what good is victory without an audience to see it?

He is the opposite in every way of his sibling, Amaterasu. Where she is light, he is dark. Where she is kind, he is cruel. But in his cruelty there is purpose. A true leader cannot show weakness, cannot brook insult – even one unintentionally given.

Such was the reason that Tsukuyomi struck off the head of the goddess of plenty, Uke Mochi. For her manner offended him, and offense must be answered as swiftly and surely as possible, lest weakness be revealed. Order must be maintained, whatever the cost.

Amaterasu did not understand. She cast Tsukuyomi from her sight, forever exiling him from the heavens. The day would be hers, and the night his. Another insult, but one Tsukuyomi has borne in silence...until now.

For now, the Great Dreamer has awakened and cast a shroud of madness across the world and its peoples. The order of all things breaks down, and weakling gods like Amaterasu falter.

But a true leader sees opportunity in chaos.

The time of Amaterasu and her followers is done. Tsukuyomi seeks to impose a new order upon things – one more to his liking. A long night falls across the world.

And now, a new moon rises...

Abilities[]

Passive - Shingetsu & Mangetsu
Tsukuyomi wields Shingetsu in his left hand and Mangetsu in his right hand. When these weapons damage an enemy they become empowered. Empowered Shingetsu gains a 50% cleave and restores mana. Empowered Mangetsu deals bonus damage and restores health. Notes:
Bullet Empowered weapons revert to normal after 5 seconds out of combat.
Bullet The mana restore only triggers on the first enemy hit with empowered Shingetsu.
Bullet Empowered Mangetsu heals for 36 health (7.15 at level 1) at level 20.
Bullet Ranged basic attacks from both empowered weapons will not apply the additional effects. They also have a range of 65, trigger item effects and count as two hits on enemy wards and player-made deployables.
Bullet Mana Heal: 3 (+20% of your Physical Power)  Bullet Health Heal: 6 + 1.5 per level
Bullet Bonus Damage: 2 (+15% of your Physical Power)  Bullet Ability Type: Buff, Damage

Bullet Has a retrieval range of 10 units and up to 4s to retrieve the Shuriken.
Bullet Retrieval's cooldown reduction deducts from the current cooldown, taking into account Cooldown %.
Bullet The movement speed steal lasts 4s after landing a basic attack from this ability.

Ultimate - Piercing Moonlight
Tsukuyomi channels the power of the Full Moon, gaining Crowd Control immunity and 20% Damage Reduction. He fires forward 4 powerful piercing beams of moonlight. Enemy gods damaged become marked. Each beam can hit up to 3 enemy gods. After firing all beams Tsukuyomi charges forward at light speed, dashing through all enemies in the order they were hit, dealing heavy damage. Tsukuyomi will end his dashing at the final enemy hit. If Tsukuyomi kills an enemy god with this ability Tsukuyomi he will gain both of his ranged basic attacks. Notes:
Bullet Can deal up to 400/600/800/1000/1200 (+260% of your Physical Power) damage to a single target.
Bullet Gods who use a form of damage immunity while marked will not remove the mark.
Bullet Any gods marked by the beams during the dashing that become untargetable, banished or damage immune, Tsukuyomi will still follow/damage that target.
Bullet The dashes go through walls which means that Tsukuyomi still follows Cliodhna while inside a wall but won't damage her and also affected enemies that move through Janus' portals while doing damage to them if marked.
Bullet Tsukuyomi will teleport outside a wall if the final target marked is inside/through a wall during the dashing.
