Hello Friends and Happy Holy Week! I pray you will take the time to read and study about this time. I've heard about Easter all my life, you know about Jesus riding into town on a donkey and then being crucified and resurrected in the end. Well there is a whole saga leading up to that glorious resurrection. I think denominations, other than Catholic, Lutheran and Episcopal, leave out some very important details that happened during that week. Very significant details! I am spending my time with Jesus, this week, by digging into the middle of the week. Wow! That's all I can say. So anyhow I hope you will spend some time learning more about Holy Week
I kind of hate writing anything else after that paragraph because everything else seems...less than. Nevertheless, if I don't, I won't, so here goes. Nothing major or exciting going on but we did get the concrete floor, in the "dungeon" patched and leveled. That was a chore but it's done and looks awesome! One step closer! Next on the list is to replace some of the drywall that has seen better days, finish building the wall and installing the pocket door! I am so excited about that pocket door! Do you realize how much space a traditional door uses when opened? Why, you can put more plants in that space! LoL Plant babies are my vice! Anyhow, I can't wait until the room is finished because I have put restrictions on other activities until it is finished! No fishing. No camping. No trips. If you knew how long I have been waiting for this room to be done, you would understand completely! So anyways...
I am waiting on scheduling to call me with a date for my surgery. Why does it take so long to get a phone call? I am ready to get this thumb joint replaced and healed up so I can go back to doing the things I love! I have been able to do some watercolor greeting cards and that helps my anxiety.
This is the latest batch. I still need to stamp "April Showers" on the front but I like the way they turned out. I will be sending them to a Meals On Wheels organization. In case you are wondering about that, I am a volunteer letter writer for 'Letters Against Isolation' and I make or purchase greeting cards to send to those who are in nursing homes, hospice, senior groups, or those who are home bound. I love doing it and consider it one of my ministries. Would you be interested in doing this? It will bless your heart! You can click on the link above or on the picture below to get more information. There is also a Facebook group if you are interested in that. Click this picture to go there.
As you can tell, I am passionate about this! After all, I am going to be one of those people sooner than later, and I sure would love to get letters and cards! Wouldn't you?
Well, friends, I have just gone on and on! Sorry! I hope you all will take a moment to consider all that I posted about Holy Week and Letters Against Isolation.
Have a blessed Resurrection Day!
Grace & Peace,
