Ugliest thing I've ever seen!

The other day, I looked out the kitchen window and saw the strangest sight I think I've ever seen.  It looked like and old dead flower bloomy thingy...I don't know what it is called when you dead head roses but what ever the part you cut off is, is what I'm trying to say...anyhow, it was on my kitchen window screen.

I thought maybe the wind had kicked up during the night and blew it on the window...but...

Wait!  What!!!???

The bloomy thingy is moving!  On it's own accord.  Crawling, actually!

What the Hoo-Hey!!!???

So, being one who can't leave things alone, I grabbed my phone and went to investigate.  Yep, the dang bloomy thingy was crawling...or something.  I snapped a picture and...Holy SH... Mother of Pearl!

The bloomy thingy has a freakin' ... HEAD!  What the Sam Houston kind of alien sorcery is this thing!!!???

Turns out it was a Bagworm Moth.  Notice how I used the word, WAS?  Yeah, it had to die. That was the ugliest, strangest thing I have ever seen.  We have never had these things before and I hope, since we have apparently moved to the face of the sun, they will burn to extinction and I never see one again!

Back inside, I looked out the other kitchen window and this nosy gal was peeking in!

I said, "Um...Chicken (her name is Goldie, I just call her Chicken.)...Did you see that alien creature on the other window?  Why didn't you eat it and save the world?".  And I swear she replied, "Sweet Baby Jesus, GURL!  Yasssss, I seen that thang!  Why you thank I'm try'na get in !!!???".

Y'all have a good evening and watch out for alien bloomy thingys!

Pam

Not good at all.

It all started last weekend, Saturday to be exact.  I was a happy old gal because my granddaughter had been planning an adventure for weeks.  I had gotten new tires and battery for my SUV and was gathering all the "stuff" that we take on our adventures.

My Mister was camping so I decided to take a break and go out to the lake to see what he was up to.  I was in such a good mood.  I stopped and treated myself to a Herbalife protein shake and was cruising the back roads.  Everything was rosy!

So, I got to the lake, pulled up to the little office to tell them what business I had there.  Nice little Grandma lady told me which site I needed to go to.  While I had my window down, I heard a noise but thought it was the little window air conditioner at the office so I proceeded to go to the campsite.

I got stopped, put the car in park and realized I was still hearing that noise.  Hmmm...curious.  I shut off the car,  got out and walked up to our travel trailer, and asked my Mister to come listen.  I started the car and he said, "TURN IT OFF!".

Well...cocoa puffs!  That can't be good.

I got out, walked around to the front and my Mister was mumbling something that sounded like...well never mind.  I can't say those words!  I asked what he thought and he just kept looking under the hood, scratching his head, and saying, "That don't sound good...not good at all!"  Perfect, I thought!

We called our son-in-love to bring his car trailer and take the car back to the house.  He did and being a pretty fair mechanic, told us what he thought it was.  Water pump.  In my Redneck, 'everything can be fixed with baling wire and duct tape' mind, that didn't seem like such a big deal.  Turns out it is a very big deal and wire and duct tape won't do this time!

Nope, it won't.  My son came the next day, and pulled the trailer, with the car riding high like she's a queen or something, to the shop.  Yep, it is the water pump and Nope, baling wire and duct tape won't take care of it.  Apparently it is a major surgery, that requires the motor to be pulled out...because guess where the water pump is.  Inside the motor, of course.  "So...how much is it going to cost?", I asked.  Well that was stupid.  I shouldn't have asked because I just about dropped my teeth when they rattled off a price of $3600.00 plus!

Son-of-a-sea-going-jazzhonky!  Say what!!!???  You know those words my Mister was mumbling and I said I couldn't say?  Well...

So...needless to say, she is still sitting on the trailer, thinking she's the SHIZ, with her new tires and all.  I don't have that kind of money just laying around!  Good golly!

I mean she is pretty, and all, but...

You know, while I was and am, upset about the car puking and am most upset and just downright mad about is our "Adventure" didn't get to happen.  I hate disappointing my grandbabies!  I know she understands but the fact remains, she was looking forward to it.  But there isn't anything I can do about it for now.

Have a great weekend, y'all!

Grace & Peace,

Pam

After all, it's just sittin' there.

Hello, friends!  That is if anyone still hangs around here.  You know the story.  Several months ago, I felt as if this blog had ran it's course and decided to stop posting new content.  Many circumstances, and situations, were in play with that decision.  I wish I could disclose everything but suffice it to say, I felt a bit...less than.  Sometimes, life just has a way of saying...and people...have a way of making me feel that way.  I wish I was tough as nails and things like that didn't bother me but I am a human, after all, so from time to time I go through stuff that rocks me pretty good.  BUT!!!  I have moved on and am now ready to write again.

I was thinking of creating a new blog, one day, but I said,  "Self" (that's what I call my third personality)..."Self, why would you create a new blog when you have a perfectly good one?  After all, it's just sittin' there?".  Self answered, "Yeah, why would you?".  So here we are, in all our crazy, writing a new post on an old blog.  And, I am happy about that!

I will come back in awhile and update on the 'going on's' that have happened since I posted last.  I sure hope some of y'all are still hanging on.

Have a beautiful evening, my friends!

Grace & Peace,

Pam
