"I guess I'll see you in the movies."
La La Land is simply a magical movie. With its mouth-watering sets, make-up, costumes and camera lens, you feel as if you are watching a movie released in the 1940s, even though the story takes place in the present day. In this regard, I can say that director Chazelle has achieved the impossible. It has both an impressive script and a good job technically. Speaking of music, you can clearly see director Damien Chazelle's love for music in this film, as in Whiplash. The songs sung in the film and especially the way jazz was handled were really successful. In fact, not only the music, but also the dances and the fact that Chazelle shot these scenes in almost a single shot make the result even more impressive (among the dance scenes in the movie, Mia and Sebastian's heel dance in front of the Los Angeles sunset was also my favorite).
Dreams or Love? What keeps us away from our dreams, what creates the gap between the person we want to be and the person we are. Is it people, conditions, life or us? Two people who want to achieve their dreams meet each other. They are torn between their dreams and each other. Dreams bring separation, loves bring sadness. Which is better? Mia and Sebastian are two people who live for their dreams and must overcome the obstacles in front of their dreams. But life doesn't make way for them. They find each other and that's how they realize there is hope. But achieving dreams requires a price. They get the price. I have rarely cried at a movie in my life. La La Land is one of these movies. I couldn't hold my tears towards the last minutes. If you ask why you gave it a 4 because of so much praise: yes, it was a good movie, it was impressive, but I think it could have been better. I don't know, just a feeling. Despite this, it is one of the best romantic and musical films I have watched. I recommend it to everyone. Is there anyone who hasn't watched it?
