Wanted to rewatch this and it’s still amazing. And that ending is amazing amazing showing his regrets and what he really wanted his future to look like. He practically goes through this fantasy of him, making out with her and what he thought would happen. This film shows regret in a profound way that feels unique and feels real. The lighting also adds onto the film. The summer scenes feel bright and beautiful and the night scenes have this beautiful purple that adds onto the film. Also, the film is saying about love and passion is profound and deep. These characters are clearly passionate about stuff like acting and jazz and it feels real it feels like Damien really knew how to show these emotions. The acting is incredible. Emma Stone is one of the best actors we have right now and I don’t think enough people realize that. Like Emma Stone does amazing in every role even in bad films and this is not a bad film at all. Ryan Gosling also does amazing. The opening scene another day of sun, and it shows this world singing in a pretty stressful situation. Every song this is great and profound. This film is beautiful deep and well acted it felt like a La La Land day and it was a La La Land day. Incredible film the way they cut from Emma Stone silent stage to the jazz was a great touch
