Look, I don't hate musicals. I like Repo! The Genetic Opera. Also, ummm... I like, umm Oh that episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer where Sweet makes everyone sing.. Ummm, Cannibal! the Musical was ok. Also that short film fromt he first Bloodrive, Song of the Dead.

I was going to do this rant about the internal logic of musicals, but I'll save that for another day.

Honestly, the "villain" John LEgend here, not only had the best song with his sell out JAzz Fusion song, but also was 100% right!

Ok, so time to talk about TTRPGs because no one is sick of this!

Ryan Gosling is the OSR, "No no no no no, the old way of doing things was the only right way of doing things!"
And John LEgend is like "Jazz was about innovation, and by gatekeeping old ways, you are just killing jazz"
And the OSR is doing their best to kill TTRPGS. I get it, you like the way things were done. But much like Jazz, Gygax and Arnson created something new, unique, never been done in gaming space. But we have to keep going forward. MAke it more open to others. If you keep it locked behind the "right" way of doing things. That no innovation can be done. Keeping it locked underground? Well you know what stays underground? Corpses.

I can say about 90 minutes in when the actual conflict shows up the movie gets better. And there is an interesting theme here of choosing what two conflicting dreams to follow. Both have very lofty goals and while they helped each other meet their potential, their dreams mean their love cannot exist. And that a very interesting space to tell a tale. It just took forever to get there.

Also I just don't care about JAzz or acting.
