Whenever I watch this film, I always try my hardest to refrain from giving it the full five stars. We’ve seen Spider-Man origin stories done before but this is such a refreshing take on the character. The animation style changed the industry forever and is an example of visual storytelling done at the highest level. Miles’ ‘Leap of Faith’ scene is definitely amongst some of my favourite scenes ever, just such an epic sequence in every aspect. I cannot wait to watch Across the Spider-Verse tomorrow, if it‘s anything close to the quality of the original it’ll become a new favourite of mine.
