In retrospect, Into the Spider-Verse was a watershed moment in Western animation and cape films at large. Phil Lord’s snappy love letter to all things Spider-Man is really what kicked off this current multiverse trend for better or worse, and it remains not only the best representation of that sub-genre but also the greatest Spidey feature film (or at least on par with Raimi’s Spider-Man 2).
Extremely excited to catch Across the Spider-Verse tomorrow night and have the utmost confidence in this creative team.
