I'm not sure if I want to go see Lightyear. I know it's Pixar and all that and the animation looks phenomenal, but I have my standards on what I think is worth spending money on.

I made a promise long ago that I would never see any more movie sequels or properties directly adapted from something else unless I'm convinced enough that it has the creative effort I'm looking for, like with Top Gun: Maverick. I've always felt that people who obliviously spend the money that keeps this trend going, don't have the right to complain. Hence why I refuse to watch the new Jurassic World.

Lightyear just barely steps away from the average laziness from what I've seen in the trailers, but it's hard for me to respect the choice of this movie being made in the first place. The company promised to only make original works after Toy Story 4 and are already breaking that promise.
