The Republic of Iraq (Arabic: جمهورية العراق) (Central Kurdish: كۆماری عێراق), commonly known as Iraq, is a country in Western Asia. It is bordered by Syria to the north-west, Turkey to the north, Iran to the east, Saudi Arabia to the south and south-west, Kuwait to the south and Jordan to the west.
