"Mama Merc" is the first segment of the thirteenth episode of Miles from Tomorrowland. It premiered on May 8, 2015 alongside "Space Race".
Plot[]
In the activity room, Loretta uses her Exo-Flex suit to place a boulder on top of all the others. Miles, on the other hand, uncontrollably places his in that location. Even though it was unnecessary, Miles thinks it was blastastic. Loretta then tells Stella to tell Phoebe that they have finished training for the mission, and Stella agrees. M.E.R.C. attempts to lift a holo-boulder, but can not do so, and Miles reminds him that he needs a holo-boulder for that to happen. Phoebe congratulates Miles and Loretta, and appreciates their help when the Callistos get to Planet Fraylak. Leo says that moving rocks to make way for a spaceport can take a while, and it is good to have extra hands. Even though they may not have Exo-Flex suits the size of him, M.E.R.C. can help by cheering Miles and Loretta on. The Callistos stow the Exo-Flex suits in the Star Jetter, which they use to get to Fraylak.
On the planet, a winged creature comforts its egg before flying off, leaving it rolling down a hill until some rocks stop it. Leo lands the Star Jetter on the place the egg originally was, mistaking it for a perfect landing spot. Miles and Loretta decide to check things out, and are told by Phoebe to not go too far. Miles thinks that lifting the rocks he and Loretta sees should be no problem when they see the creature, which lands on the Star Jetter. Loretta and Miles then call Leo and Phoebe, informing them of the situation. Loretta sees through her Bracelex that the creature is called a Graawk. Leo tries honking the horn and opening the doors, but they do not work. M.E.R.C. then sees a giant egg, and Loretta says that that is a Graawk egg. Since it looks very similar to the Star Jetter, the Graawk is sitting on the ship. Miles and Loretta are then tasked by Phoebe to get the real egg up there, and the Graawk may leave Leo and Phoebe alone.
Miles and Loretta finish moving the rocks surrounding the egg, and Miles manages to stop the egg right before it rolls off a hill. While they are rolling the egg up it, M.E.R.C. hears tapping, and Loretta assumes that the baby Graawk inside the egg is about to hatch. The egg itself breaks free, and causes the Exo-Flex suits to go off the hill, breaking them in the process. Miles and Loretta are okay, but are sad about their broken Exo-Flexes when the egg hatches and a baby Graawk comes out, changing the Callistos' plan. Loretta then informs Phoebe and Leo of such, and Phoebe tells her and Miles to bring the baby up.
The baby Graawk hugs M.E.R.C., thinking that the latter is his mama. This means that the baby Graawk will follow M.E.R.C. anywhere. He then spots some food on top of a tree, but fails to get them. Loretta finds out that Graawks eat berries, like the food on top of the tree, which are Blortberries. Miles uses his Lazerang to retrieve them, but they all fall out of the tree, squishing them. The baby Graawk still eats them, and then burps. He then falls asleep, landing on M.E.R.C. Miles and Loretta try to move the baby Graawk to no avail, and Loretta already misses the Exo-Flex suits.
The mother Graawk then leaves the Star Jetter, but once the ship takes off, the Graawk comes right back for it and places it on a higher level. This is when the Graawk realizes that the ship is not an egg. Leo and Phoebe inform Miles and Loretta of the situation. M.E.R.C. frees himself from the baby Graawk, and believes that he can get the baby to fly up to where the mother Graawk is. After teaching the baby Graawk how to take off and fly, M.E.R.C. flies with the baby Graawk, and the two make it to the mother Graawk, who is happy to be with his baby. The Star Jetter then lands at where Miles, Loretta, M.E.R.C., and the baby Graawk are, with Phoebe considering this a view she likes.
Miles and Leo agree that they can not clear ground for the new spaceport without the Exo-Flex suits. Since it will take Leo a few days to fix the suits and the Callistos were supposed to finish the mission today, Phoebe decides to call Admirals Watson and Crick. M.E.R.C., however, has an idea: flapping his wings. The plan works, as M.E.R.C. and the Graawks flap their wings, causing wind that knocks all of the boulders away. Leo assumes that this place is ready for a new spaceport. Miles congratulates M.E.R.C., telling him that he is not just a good friend, but a good mama, as well. Miles assumes that to thank the Graawks, you just have to say, "Graawk!".
