"Galactech: Flight of the Iotas" is the second segment of the fortieth episode of Miles from Tomorrowland. It premiered on October 15, 2016 alongside "Building Day", and is the second segment of the tenth episode in the second season.
Plot[]
Outside the Stellosphere, Miles, M.E.R.C., and Loretta finish cleaning the outside of the ship from space barnacles. Phoebe and Leo call them, telling them to meet in the bio-garden. Once there, the Callistos find out that they need to clean the inside of the ship, and once they are done, Phoebe is challenging everyone to a round of Galaxy Golf. Miles tells M.E.R.C. that it is a brand new game that recently opened at the Tethoscape, and Stella informs everyone that they will be there in ten minutes and thirteen seconds. Loretta will clean the kitchen and living room, Phoebe and Leo will clean the bio-garden, and Miles and M.E.R.C. will clean the workshop and hangar.
Once in the hangar, Miles and M.E.R.C. meet an I.O.T.A. which, despite being a good helper, does not know how to pick up trash. This gives Miles an idea to program the I.O.T.A. to get rid of all the trash and dust every surface. The I.O.T.A. is doing a good job, but sad that there is no team of I.O.T.A.s, Miles decides to print copies of the I.O.T.A. with the Solidizer. After doing so, Miles tells all the I.O.T.A.s to clean the starship, while not letting anything get in their way.
The I.O.T.A.s tidy up every part of the ship, including Leo and Phoebe's room and the activity room. Miles and M.E.R.C. see them cleaning up the living room and kitchen, and are excited for Galaxy Golf. One I.O.T.A. places a plate where it belongs, and Loretta thanks her for that. However, another gets her microscope, and Loretta tells it to come back. Meanwhile, Leo and Phoebe finish cleaning the bio-garden when lots of I.O.T.A.s zoom by with some of their stuff. Leo says there is one I.O.T.A., but now says that there was as the I.O.T.A.s get more stuff.
Miles and M.E.R.C. head back to the Multivator just as more I.O.T.A.s steal more stuff. Miles eventually sees Loretta trying to get her stuff back from the I.O.T.A.s. Now in the hangar, Miles contacts Phoebe about the situation when the I.O.T.A.s steal his rock collection. Stella informs everyone about the I.O.T.A.s removing stuff from the bridge.
Once the Callistos make it there, Miles explains that he re-programmed the I.O.T.A. with a cleaning code. Since it was working so well, he used the Solidizer to make lots more I.O.T.A.s so the Callistos would be ready to play Galaxy Golf sooner, and Leo assumes that it is a good idea. However, Loretta finds out that the code is tricky, and sees some errors, which is why the I.O.T.A.s think everything is trash, including the Callistos' personal stuff. Phoebe tells the Callistos to focus on turning them off. Stella is able to shut them down, but only one at a time, as the code that Miles wrote for the I.O.T.A.s prevents her from turning their power off all at once. Stella deactivates an I.O.T.A. before the Callistos head to the hangar.
They then see all of their personal stuff, and Phoebe tries to take one of them. Stella continues to shut down the I.O.T.A.s until they escape from the hangar in an attempt to avoid her. As Leo retrieves his Blastboard Moonshredder, the I.O.T.A.s make it to the engine room. Stella warns them that they are not allowed to access the computer system, but they start to shut down her system. Miles realizes that he programmed them to not let anything get in the way of their cleaning, and Loretta realizes that Stella was trying to stop them. Three seconds later, the I.O.T.A.s power down Stella. They then kick the Callistos out of the hangar by opening the launch bay.
Loretta was hoping for the I.O.T.A.s to toss out the Star Jetter, but Miles says that the Callistos have Galactech, and they activate their Galactech spacesuits. Leo secures all of their personal stuff, and the Callistos catch up with the Stellosphere with their booster boots. Phoebe tells everyone that there are two goals, get Stella back online and round up all of the I.O.T.A.s to shut them down. Miles and M.E.R.C. come up with an idea to distract the I.O.T.A.s.
Once in the engine room, M.E.R.C. squawks very loudly, and Miles and M.E.R.C. get followed by the I.O.T.A.s. Loretta then locks the door so the I.O.T.A.s can not get back inside while Phoebe and Leo activate their spacesuit's chameleon mode to get to the bridge. Eventually, Miles and M.E.R.C. chase the I.O.T.A.s to the hangar, and Loretta gets Stella back online. After being acknowledged by Miles, Stella initiates the shutdown beam, shutting down all of the I.O.T.A.s at once. This is because Loretta wrote an I.O.T.A. shutdown code while rebooting Stella. Leo, meanwhile, finds the control panel and stops the Stellosphere just as it reaches the Tethoscape.
Miles then turns on the original I.O.T.A., and says that he will make it up to him. Miles then apologizes to the Callistos for all of the troubles the I.O.T.A.s caused. Phoebe tells him that the next time he feels like creating lots of I.O.T.A.s again, he should just ask them first, and Loretta tells Miles that he can ask for help for coding anytime. Phoebe discussed it with Leo, and since the Callistos' chores are done, and since their stuff is not going anywhere, they agree to a round of Galaxy Golf. Once there, the I.O.T.A. takes a swing at the golf club, which leads to the golf ball breaking a glass.
