1. I spent a day making cards and Mail Art envelopes
2. I saw a dragonfly in the greenhouse. I think he found his way in through the open skylight but couldn't find his way back out. I left the door open
3. I saw the first firefly of the season
4. I found the Ink silhouette Tiggy sent me. Tip for the day: Don't put a black object on a black background as it makes it difficult to find.
5. A day out and lunch with Teague
How was your week?
You had a fun week CJ. My week was good but I feel like I worked all week, between my garden and putting things away in the new art space. Not that those things weren't fun, they were. Have a great FRiday and stay warm this weekend.
ReplyDeleteOnce the art space is finished and arranged, the work will give way to fun.
DeleteWow wouldn't that be a fabulous day playing with paper! In Arkansas hummingbirds would fly in my hubby's shop and couldn't find their way out.. Kept wanting to fly up to the skylights.. wear themselves out and hubby would carry them over to the feeder for a drink and they were fine.. HHmmm is that where you found your missing object?? lol Love fireflies.. they are limited here because of the dryness i think.. but i will see them close to a grassy area near a creek or river.. Looks like you had a fab week CJ! I....
ReplyDelete- Got the napkins mailed out for Elizabeth's swap...
- Started making some ATC's for the 9th Anniversary swap
- Browse around Hobby Lobby produced some good deals..
- Hubby fell while out in his shop... the good news.. he didn't hurt himself badly.. More mad at himself for doing it.
- Lunch with our Rancher friend... Hubs and i helped take the head off his pickup this week... fun and not fun... lol
You had a busy craft week. Poor Hubs. Glad he didn't get seriously hurt.
DeleteI've seen dragonflies on the patio often in years past but not a one so far this year. They are such lovelies! I see fireflies when it's dark on the patio but fewer this year than usual. I wonder why... Many fewer insects than usual this year :(
ReplyDeleteYour day out sounds fun. I don't have as many of those now that The Daughter has moved so far away. I should venture out on my own :)
Teague is one of my oldest friends I met her in jr. high in 1969. We haven't seen each other as often as we used to. Thanks to work and Covid. Semi-retirement is opening up more possibilities for running away for the day
Deletenot a good week but enough of that, hope you and de crew have an awesome weekend…fire flies out here too 😺‼️❤️
ReplyDeleteHere's to a better week for you
DeleteI miss fireflies! Oh well, other things make up for it I guess....LOL Glad you had a good week! :D
ReplyDeleteLike alligators in the lanai? 😜
DeleteLOL.....so far so good....none on the lanai! (Knock wood!)
DeleteI love fire and dragon flies. You stay cool too.
ReplyDeleteI'll need to stay warm. While you're having a heatwave, this weekend, temps here will feel like Fall. 😺
DeleteLots of goodness this week. Regine

It was a good week.
DeleteOh, a dragonfly. I had one in a bus behind me, yikes, I sure jumped!
ReplyDeleteAnd a former colleague had a black cat and a black chair... both are well :-)
Great week here, summer arrived!
I sat on Ink a time or two not noticing he had curled up in my chair 😺
DeleteSounds like a fun week, except for loosing the silhouette of Ink! That sounds like something I would do, I'm often looking for things that I've misplaced 😉. We've had a busy week of decorating and visiting mums. Happy weekend! Hugs Jo x
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I'm not the only one that misplaces things
DeleteSounds a good week.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a happy weekend.
All the best Jan
And you, Jan
DeleteYou had a productive week - thinking you must mail out a lot of cards. Always nice to have lunch out. Good week - lots of outdoor stuff and very chilly nights which is nice. Got a lot done around here and our neighborhood is all worried about a bear that has been injured evidently has a broken leg and no authorities are coming out to do anything about it. He just finds shady spots in the trees near our houses to lie down while he heals. I tried to get photos but he was on someone's deck and the railings made it hard to see him. So far he has only come to our driveway but not up to the house or decks.
ReplyDeleteI don't mail out as many cards as I probably should. Wow, a bear! Stay safe
DeleteYour week was much better than mine. I also saw a firefly a few evenings ago. Glad you got to eat out again!
