Terry Gerratana is a former Democratic member of the Connecticut State Senate, representing District 6 from 2011 to 2019. Gerratana was elected to the office on February 22, 2011. She left the Senate in 2019 to join the administration of Gov. Ned Lamont (D).[1]
Gerratana served in the Connecticut House of Representatives from 1993 to 2003. She served as a commissioner of the State Election Enforcement Commission from 2007 to 2010.
Biography
Gerratana served in the Connecticut House of Representatives from 1993 to 2003, serving as co-chair of the Human Services Committee. While serving in the House, she assisted in passing the HUSKY children's health care bill and strengthening the CONNPACE program. She also worked on programs intended to improve healthcare for mothers and infants.
Gerratana served as a commissioner of the State Election Enforcement Commission from 2007 to 2010. She also served as Ethics Commissioner for New Britain, CT, worked with the Junior League, the Klingberg Family Center, and the New Britain/Berlin YMCA.
Gerratana received her B.S. from Central Connecticut State University.[2]
