Gennaro Bizzarro (Republican Party) was a member of the Connecticut State Senate, representing District 6. Bizzarro assumed office on March 4, 2019. Bizzarro left office on January 6, 2021.
Bizzarro (Republican Party) ran for re-election to the Connecticut State Senate to represent District 6. Bizzarro lost in the general election on November 3, 2020.
Biography
Gennaro Bizzarro received his bachelor's degree from Fordham University and his law degree from the Quinnipiac University School of Law. After graduation, he clerked for The Honorable Dominic J. Squatrito, United States District Court Judge for the District of Connecticut. Following his clerkship, Bizzarro worked as a litigation associate at Sullivan & Cromwell, LLP in New York. Most recently he has worked as an attorney and founding member of GB Law Group, LLC, a law firm with offices in New Britain and West Hartford. Gennaro has also served as Corporation Counsel for the City of New Britain.
In 2019, Bizzarro was elected to represent Connecticut's 6th Senate District which includes Berlin, New Britain, and Farmington.[1]

The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 10, 2014. Incumbent Rick Lopes was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while Gennaro Bizzarro was unopposed in the Republican primary. Lopes defeated Bizzarro in the general election.[2][3]
