George Albert Carpenter (1867-1944) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
He was nominated by President William Howard Taft on December 13, 1909 to fill a seat vacated by Solomon Hicks Bethea. He was confirmed by the Senate on January 11, 1910, and received commission that same day. He resigned on June 30, 1933.[1] Carpenter was succeeded in this position by William Harrison Holly. Carpenter died on September 13, 1944.
