Butch Miller (Republican Party) was a member of the Georgia State Senate, representing District 49. He assumed office on May 20, 2010. He left office on January 9, 2023.
Miller (Republican Party) ran for election for Lieutenant Governor of Georgia. He lost in the Republican primary on May 24, 2022.
Miller became the state Senate president pro tempore in January 2018.[1]
Biography
Butch Miller was born in Macon, Georgia and graduated from North Georgia College & State University. Miller's career experience includes owning and managing Milton Martin Honda and serving on the advisory board of the American Honda Motor Company National Dealers. [2] He volunteered on the school council board and a number of community organizations, including the Gainesville Rotary Club, Relay for Life, and Meals on Wheels. He was elected to the state senate in 2010.[3]

On May 11, 2010, Miller won election to the Georgia Senate from Georgia's 49th Senate district in a special election to replace Lee Hawkins. Miller received 10,771 votes in the election, defeating Jimmy Norman (R), who received 1,983 votes, and Brandon Givens (L), who received 1,130 votes.[17]
