Scorecards
A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.
Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.

Resignation as Fisher Phillips CIO (2021)
Albers resigned as chief information officer of the law firm Fisher Phillips after The Lincoln Project accused him of supporting legislation that would suppress voting. The law firm released a statement saying that it had “concluded that John Albers’ role as a state legislator is incompatible with his role as our chief information officer, and he has resigned from the firm. We are grateful for John’s many accomplishments at the firm as an excellent professional and wish him well."[17] In response to The Lincoln Project's allegations, Albers said “this is clearly false. I am fully transparent and glad to share everything with anyone. This issue caused the firm undue angst even though it was not true.”[1]
Albers, along with his Georgia State Senate colleagues, entered self-quarantine after State Sen. Brandon Beach tested positive for coronavirus.[18]
