Archibald Gardner (1867-1962) was a federal judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit.

He was nominated by President Herbert Hoover on April 18, 1929 to fill the seat created by 45 Stat. 1346. He was confirmed by the Senate on May 23rd, and received commission that same day. From 1948 to 1959, he was the chief judge and on September 30, 1960, he assumed senior status. He served in this capacity until his death on January 21, 1962.[1]
