Los Angeles, also known as City of Los Angeles or LA, is a city in California in Los Angeles county, United States, located on the human planet, Earth. The city played a major role during the first half of the third season as well as the finale.
Background[]
Los Angeles is the original home city of Anne Boonchuy, Sasha Waybright, and Marcy Wu,[1] before they were teleported by the Calamity Box to Amphibia in 2019[2] and stayed there for around 5-11 months.[3][4] When Anne and the Plantar family arrived in Los Angeles after escaping from King Andrias at Newtopia Castle above the Amphibia capital city,[5][6] Andrias soon used the box to send a Frobot Cloak-Bot and a drone to LA to kill Anne, though both assassination attempts failed.[7][8] During those times, Anne and the Plantars also had to deal with an FBI group operated by Mr. X and Jenny.
Once Anne and the Plantars got back to Amphibia by using Terri's interdimensional portal,[9] they tried to stop Andrias' invasion of Earth by fighting alongside the Wartwood Resistance, though they failed.[10][11] After that, Andrias and the Core used the Box to send their military force (including the Castle) to Los Angeles as the first stages on conquering Earth, though the invasion failed.[12] Anne, Sasha, and Marcy finally left Amphibia and returned home to Los Angeles.[13]
Over the years, the invasion would later be called "Frog-vasion", with some people wondering if it was a hoax while a few people know the truth about it. Ten years after the invasion and after leaving Amphibia, the three girls moved on with their lives; Anne and Sasha continued to live in Los Angeles, while Marcy moved to Hopkinton, Massachusetts,[14] sometimes returning to LA to visit her friends.[13]
