Bart in 't Veld is the winner of Big Brother 1 (Netherlands) and is the very first winner in the history of Big Brother. He also competed on Hotel Big Brother.
During his stay in the very first Big Brother season he formed a Showmance with Sabine Wendel. In week 4 there were the two houseguests nominated against each other. This was eventually used in advertisements of other early adaptations to introduce and highlight the nature of the Big Brother concept.
