Candace puts Mom in a Candace costume in hopes that she'll finally see the boys' invention. Meanwhile, Doofenshmirtz accidentally creates a monster out of leftover potato salad with a new inator he made, so him & Perry have to work together to defeat it.
Plot[]
In the Flynn-Fletcher backyard, Candace is taking down the minutes of her brothers' latest endeavor, when Stacy calls. Stacy is skeptical of what Candace is doing since writing it down doesn't exactly prove anything, but Candace assures her she will have it notarized. Isabella enters asking her usual question, which Candace also notates. She is unimpressed with today's project, a regular pogo stick, but huge. However, Mom leaves before she even sees it. Candace then realizes that since she is always around when the boys' invention is there, she might trick Mom into dressing up as her to fool the Mysterious Force into believing Mom is Candace. When Candace wonders where to get a Candace Suit from, Stacy reminds her that Buford has full-sized molds of her. As she leaves for Buford's, Phineas tells her to write down the time of the disappearance of the platypus.
When Agent P enters his lair, Major Monogram informs him that Doofenshmirtz has not left his house in over thirty-six hours, so he might have to just check up on him and see if he is okay.
Candace and Stacy meet Buford at his garage, where they discover several suits made up of people all over Danville, with Baljeet assisting in making them. Buford directs Candace toward a multitude of Candace Suits. Candace decides to take them all in case one should disappear. She also takes a Linda Suit. As they go back to the Flynn-Fletcher house, one of the Candace Suits Buford carries gets snagged onto a water barrel.
At Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporated, Perry discovers that Doof created a leftover-revive-inator because he disliked his leftovers being soggy. Unfortunately, the setting of the inator was too high so all his leftovers combined to form a giant potato salad monster. Doof instructs Perry to distract it while he installs a reverse switch on the inator.
Back in the backyard, Phineas launches the pogo stick. Isabella is still not very impressed. Inside the house, Candace dresses Buford as Mom for a test run. Out in the backyard, Phineas gives Isabella a space helmet as the pogo stick launches into space. Right on cue, Isabella is excited about it. When Buford-as-Mom enters the backyard, he sees the pogo stick has disappeared. So now Candace puts a Candace Suit over Buford's Mom Suit to simulate Mom wearing the Candace suit. Sure enough, when Buford-as-Candace goes back into the backyard, the pogo stick returns.
Back at Doof's lab, Doof has finished installing the reverse switch. Unfortunately, the leftovers monster dodges every one of the inator's beams and escapes. Perry summons his hover-car and, with Doof in tow, follows the monster as it wreaks havoc all over Danville.
When Phineas, Ferb and Isabella go inside the house, they are disturbed to find all the Candace Suits that Candace brought over. Of course, they put them on. Meanwhile, Buford really loves being Candace and does some things a kid his age wouldn't normally do, such as seeing a PG-13 movie, going on a date with Jeremy, and participating in a Miss Teen pageant.
When Mom comes back, Candace claims that there is a "selfie-with-a-selfie" trend on the Internet where you have to dress up as someone and take a selfie with them. When Linda becomes suspicious, Candace claims it is a mother-daughter trend. When Linda puts on the Candace Suit, she goes upstairs to see herself in the full-length mirror. As Lawrence returns, he greets all of the gang dressing up as Candace, including Candace herself. In the backyard, Candace is excited that the pogo stick is still there. She excitedly grabs who she thinks is Mom, but it turns out to be Buford, then Baljeet, then Isabella, then Stacy (who does not know how she even got in the suit) and finally Phineas and Ferb.
While pursuing the monster, Doof accidentally fires his inator unknowingly at the left behind Candace Suit at Buford's house. They finally reach it at the Flynn-Fletcher backyard as the monster goes into the control panel of the pogo stick. Candace finally finds her Mom, who is pretending to be Candace to Lawrence so she can tell her what "Mom" wants for "her" birthday, but the leftovers monster launches the pogo stick into space, just in time for Candace to once again fail at busting her brothers. As the entire gang gather round in their Candace suits, Linda takes a selfie to Candace's discomfort.
Later that night, the Candace Suit that was hit by the inator starts to come to life...
