Backyard Beach is a song from the Phineas and Ferb episode "Lawn Gnome Beach Party of Terror" sung by Ferb (Danny Jacob) in a reggae style. The song explains what happens in the backyard beach Phineas and Ferb made to beat the intense summer heat of that day. It was voted the #2 most popular Phineas and Ferb song of all time in "Phineas and Ferb Musical Cliptastic Countdown", losing to Gitchee Gitchee Goo. Backyard Beach is also one of the eight songs that were re-released in the Phineas and Ferb Karaoke Soundtrack and is featured in an extended version as a production number in Phineas and Ferb: The Best LIVE Tour Ever!. This is also the first song of Phineas and Ferb.
Lyrics[]
Ferb: Listen up people and I'll teach ya,
Bout Phineas and Ferb in the backyard beach,
Every mornin' Phineas he gonna say,
Singers: Say!
Ferb: Brother what you gonna do today,
Now you see were have fun playing under the sun,
Get in line... get in line cause the wet skis running,
My backyard beach... My backyard beach,
Nothing's out of reach in the backyard beach,
You can change in the broken hut,
Drink out of a coconut,
3 game for a token but the rest is free,
You got skiing... para sailing,
Surfing and a flailing put our contacts in saline or the rest you can't see,
At the backyard beach... at the backyard beach,
Nothing's out of reach at the backyard beach,
The backyard beach... the backyard beach,
Don't fall into the breech at the backyard beach!
Background Information[]
- First song where Ferb is the main singer.
- Ferb's voice, done by Danny Jacob for this song, becomes more of a Jamaican/Rapper voice.
- Throughout the song, there are depictions of tikis looking left and right in the solid background.
- For the whole song, Ferb's mouth is covered up by the microphone, except for the first verse and the line "Don't fall into the breach".
Errors[]
- During the words "skiin', parasailin'," it sounds like "ski an parasail an," and some people pronounce "and" as "an," so Ferb sings "ski and parasail and."
- The closed captions show Ferb's line "The jet ski's runnin'" when he says "The wet ski's runnin'".
Allusions[]
- Supersize Me - The lyric pattern to the chorus is similar to that of "A Pizza Hut, a Pizza Hut, Kentucky-Fried Chicken and a Pizza Hut", also known as the Fast Food Song. It is unknown if this is intentional.
Trivia[]
- This song is infusioned by began at length for featured at unofficial teaser trailer of Atlantis: The Lost Empire.
