Mosi is a character in the 2024 Disney photorealistic CGI film Mufasa: The Lion King. He is a male yellow baboon who lives in the Baboons' Tree. He is an elder and co-leader of Rafiki's former troop.

Personality[]

Like the other elders of his troop, Mosi is distrustful and suspicious of Rafiki's visions.

Physical appearance[]

Mosi is an adult, slender baboon. He has tan-tinged brown hair, has a dark grey muzzle, and dark brown eyes. His hands and feet are dark grey.

Role in the film[]

One night, Zala declared that a cheetah had climbed into their tree for the third night in a row, this time nearly making off with one of their own. Mosi blamed Rafiki, claiming that he had summoned it with his dreams. Junia leaped to Rafiki's defense and reminded the elders of all the times his powers had come in handy. Despite her protests, Mosi called for a vote, and the troop unanimously voted to exile Rafiki.

Trivia[]

Mosi's name means "first" in Swahili.
