"Don't Have the Vegas Idea" is the second half of the fifty-sixth episode of The Lion King's Timon & Pumbaa.
Synopsis[]
Timon and Pumbaa are visiting Las Vegas, with Timon commenting that it's a city filled with easy money and more grubs than they can find under a log. The two then come across a seafood restaurant. They take a peek through the window and see lobsters, which they mistake for bugs, and enter the restaurant, but since they have no money, they get kicked out.
While Timon tries to come up with an idea on how he and Pumbaa can make money, the two come across a poster promoting a talent show involving two white lions named Heimlich and Schnitzel and their trainers, Sigmund and Lloyd. In order to make money for the lobsters, Timon suggests that he and Pumbaa should join the show to show everyone their talents, but Pumbaa is afraid of lions since they eat warthogs.
Timon and Pumbaa go to the show and see Heimlich and Schnitzel sitting in their cage, with Timon insulting them, much to their dislikes on the meerkat. Timon and Pumbaa then witness Sigmund and Lloyd have a falling out, in which they break up. While Pumbaa finds this an opportunity to leave, Timon realizes that it's the trainers who get all the fame and glory for the animal shows and decides to become one himself, which Pumbaa doesn't find to be a good idea. Timon makes a frightened Pumbaa enter the lions' cage, telling him that they have plenty of experiences with lions. The meerkat then locks himself and Pumbaa in the cage so they can't escape.
As the show begins, the lions begin to show their frightening sides, much to Pumbaa's fear. Timon tries to calm his friend down by telling him that anything carnivorous the lions do will just be an act. Timon then tries to fight the lions, who manage to defeat the meerkat. The lions then approach Pumbaa, whose fear of them makes them find him adorable, as he reminds them of a toy they used to have when they were cubs. This makes Pumbaa realize that the lions are not as threatening as he thought. Timon tries once again to fight the lions, but then gets frightened by their harsh response. The lions begin to tease the meerkat by responding harshly as they perform their acts and they focus more of their attention on him. Pumbaa, who is no longer afraid of the lions, is entertained by their performance and begins to run the show.
Timon wants to leave, but Pumbaa tells him that with them running the show, they can become rich and famous. As Timon tries to escape the lions, he finds Sigmund and Lloyd, who are sitting on separate tables from each other, make sarcastic comments on their show. Timon tries to convince them to return to their show business, but they still refuse to talk to each other. However, after hearing Pumbaa's idea for a television special, Sigmund and Lloyd reconcile and decide to run the show again. Though, on the Heimlich and Schnitzel's condition, the show has the lions tormenting their trainers.
When Timon and Pumbaa get thrown out of the show, Timon has an idea for an even better job. The two are on a plane, working as flight kings and wave to the people in the city. The pilot then pushes them out, and Timon and Pumbaa parachute to the ground, spotting an all-you-can-eat restaurant below.
