We have been struggling to understand the tragic events in the Ukraine, poring over a stream of current events to discover the master plan behind Putin’s strategy. We failed. Then we looked back to December last year. Suddenly it all clicked.
On December 15, 2021 Russia sent an ultimatum to the US and NATO. Two days later it was published, and the Russian Foreign Office invited the West to sign up and to agree to it, or at least begin discussing it. Not only was it not signed, it wasn’t even properly acknowledged. It was blatantly ignored, as though it were a demand from a teenager to an adult.
Pity, for it would have saved the world from the Ukraine War and Europeans from expensive bills, and the US from the terrible destruction and massive deaths of WWIII. Putin had made clear what he wanted, and it was a reasonable request. All that happened subsequently was brought about in order to achieve, at least, an adult discussion of these documents.
Putin sent the army to Kazakhstan, and in February to the Ukraine, and more recently his army has begun destroying Ukrainian infrastructure, which they had refrained from damaging before.
There is a Russian joke about a man who frequently visited somebody else’s wife. The husband found him and threw him from the window. When he came home a few days later, he discovered his wife’s lover with his legs and arms in a cast. He carried him to the window, but before casting him down, said to him: “Friend, this is my wife. Lay off!” And the lover replied: “Why didn’t you say so at once? Why did you only hint at it?”
NATO and the US should have listened to Putin in December ’21, instead of waiting until December ’22. All the sorrows of the Ukraine have come from subtle hints from Mr Putin, who was not even very interested in the Ukraine.
Let us see what Russia wants from the US.
Article 1
The Parties shall cooperate on the basis of principles of indivisible, equal and undiminished security and to these ends:
- shall not undertake actions nor participate in or support activities that affect the security of the other Party;

The Parties shall not train military and civilian personnel from non-nuclear countries to use nuclear weapons. The Parties shall not conduct exercises or training for general-purpose forces, that include scenarios involving the use of nuclear weapons.
Pay heed to Articles 4, 5 and 6. They are relevant for the case of Ukraine.
Let us see the Russian proposal to NATO, starting with Article 4:
Article 4
The Russian Federation and all the Parties that were member States of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization as of 27 May 1997, respectively, shall not deploy military forces and weaponry on the territory of any of the other States in Europe in addition to the forces stationed on that territory as of 27 May 1997. With the consent of all the Parties such deployments can take place in exceptional cases to eliminate a threat to security of one or more Parties.
Article 5
The Parties shall not deploy land-based intermediate- and short-range missiles in areas allowing them to reach the territory of the other Parties.
Article 6
All member States of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization commit themselves to refrain from any further enlargement of NATO, including the accession of Ukraine as well as other States.
Article 7

In order to exclude incidents the Russian Federation and the Parties that are member States of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization shall not conduct military exercises or other military activities above the brigade level in a zone of agreed width and configuration on each side of the border line of the Russian Federation and the states in a military alliance with it, as well as Parties that are member States of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.
Now we can all understand what Putin wants. There are no difficult or hidden conditions, all is perfectly clear. Putin insists on formalizing conditions that were agreed upon by Mr Gorbachev and his Western counterparts in the 80’s and 90’s of the former century. The Russia of Mr Putin does not want to seize the territories or the resources of other countries. What he proposed is not the Sykes-Picot Treaty; it is a generous proposal to the West. If they won’t accept it, then let us accept the unavoidable nuclear annihilation of mankind. The proud will fall, the humble will inherit the earth. And really shocking is that all the conditions and reasons were stated a year ago, and there was a plenty of time to settle. This explains relative lack of Putin’s interest in the Ukraine. Even withdrawal from Herson did not distress him much. Putin does not want to annex the Ukraine, he will do it only in no choice situation.

Current events in Ukraine, and other parts of the globe, point to a constant in history: everyone eventually gets the war they are trying to avoid.

Mr. Shamir, thanks for an honest, accurate synopsis of the current situation.
Clearly, for anyone with eyes to see and wit enough to comprehend, Victoria Nuland and her band of amoral killers, is the source of all this carnage. Only when Nuland is physically restrained from placing deadly weapons into the hands of Ukrainian cannon fodder, will the prospect of peace be allowed to surface. Otherwise, Nuland will continue arming dead men walking as they march into the bowels of oblivion.
“I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming, and he has nothing in Me.” John 14:30
This is a time of trial for President Putin, as it is for the whole world. Putin must pray to the Immaculate, Ever-Virgin, All Holy, All Perfect, All Powerful, Queen of Israel, City of God, our Refuge, Our Lady, the Mother of God for Her help and intercession. All of us should do likewise. Our ancient enemy (the ruler of this world) would like to see nothing other than our total annihilation, turning the land into desolation where he could roam freely with his demons. There appear to be in the West some evil people in high places who have a death wish, in the cult of Sodom. Don’t let them drag down everyone with them.

#555 The Führer
“It was in January 1920 when a numeration was issued for the first time and listed in alphabetical order Hitler received the number 555. In reality, he had been the 55th member, but the counting started at the number 501 in order to make the party appear larger.”
Article 5, NATO
The key section of the treaty is Article 5. It commits each member state to consider an armed attack against one member state, in Europe or North America, to be an armed attack against them all.
The Pentagon
The headquarters building of the United States Department of Defense has five sides, five floors above ground, and five ring corridors per floor, and a central five-acre pentagonal courtyard.
On September 11, 2001, coincidentally the 60th anniversary of the Pentagon’s groundbreaking, it was attacked by a plane hijacked by five terrorists.

it’s nice to see it laid out so simply and in black and white, it makes one wonder, if the geniuses of the brandon administration, now might wish that they had taken him up on his offer. imo it is impossible for them to even contemplate, that they have made a mistake, the answer is always to double down, more money, more guns and when we run out of men, more women and children. damn the icebergs full speed ahead.
Ran across this information months ago, it appears to be only about the protection of Russia. Is the conclusion that Putin did not intend to do anything about the situation of the Russian people in the Donbass? Starting a war only for that reason would be highly disproportional of course.
In this essay, Mr. Shamir wants “To Make Sense of War”, alleging that we did not understand it a few months ago. But — lo and behold — now we can indeed make sense of it. How did this revelation come about? Well, to unravel this “mystery” one must simply engage in a close reading of Russia’s proposed treaty to the US, delivered in December of 2021 — which Mr. Shamir admits the US promptly ignored. The first article in this proposal would establish that “[The Parties] shall not undertake actions nor participate in or support activities that affect the security of the other Party”.
Why was the proposal ignored? Well, for the Jews who control the US State Department (Nuland et al.), it wasn’t even necessary to procede with the reading of the rest of the text: this very first article makes the proposal a non-starter, a risible abortion to be dumped in the trash without further consideration. Why is this seemingly innocuous article so offensive to the “300 Zionists” who run the United States (Ye)?
Well, simply because supporting “activities” in other countries in order to bring about regime change is the USA’s preferred modus operandi. One such example has already made it to Wikipedia, no less, which makes a reference to a CNN article titled “In declassified document, CIA acknowledges role in ‘53 Iran coup”. There are so many more revelations of US subversive regime change operations to be made, all throughout the world — I can’t wait for the archival declassification party of Maiden 2014! (But then again, this was so damn obvious we don’t really need to wait for the party, do we, Ms. “Fuck the EU” Nuland?)
The Jew-controlled US has been engaged in this type of “operation” even before the CIA was created: during WWII, the US Department of War was also in the business of identifying disenchanted groups in Germany whose “activities” it could “support” in order to bring down Hitler’s regime (there is archival proof of this in the Hoover Institution, at Stanford University).
It is obvious that bringing about regime change of “friends” and enemies alike is what the Jew-led US does best. We all know the joke: “Why will there never be a coup d’état in the United States? Because it doesn’t have an American embassy.” And we also know full well what a grotesque Freudian fixation the Jews have on Russia, which they must destroy at all costs. The Jews will stop at nothing in order to achieve this objective, which is just incomprehensible to any sane observer.
So, Mr. Shamir, “to make sense of the war”, it’s absolutely futile to attempt to understand Putin’s strategy or master plan. What Putin wants makes no difference whatsoever. To make sense of the war what we have to understand is the sick perverted minds of the 300 Zionists who run the United States, minds which are so Talmudically mind-boggling for the rest of us that all we can do is stare at the spectacle in disgust and contempt.
And we know what tribe’s interest against Slavs is Nuland representing.
You have learning disability. Somehow the simple term “other Party” for you means Russia – pathetic.
There’s a very interesting historical precedent to Russia’s 2021 ultimatum and the lack of reaction to it. On the morning of August 31, 1939, the British ambassador Sir George Ogilivie-Forbes attempted to present a copy of the Germany’s Marienwerder proposal to Polish Ambassador Lipski in Berlin. Lipski refused to accept it. Ogilvie-Forbes recalled in his memoir that Lipski replied to him, “in the event of war, civil strife will break out in this country [Germany], and Polish troops will march successfully to Berlin.”
The German proposal outlined the basis for resuming the negotiations which had been broken off by the Polish military dictatorship. It offered sweeping concessions to most Polish demands, proposing the return of Danzig to Germany, the construction of an autobahn linking East Prussia to the rest of the Reich, the contested area Gyndia to remain under Polish sovereignty, with a treaty protecting the civil rights of the ethnic German minority there, and a plebiscite for the people of the northern corridor region to vote on which country they wished to belong to. In addition it included a mutual defense pact, in light of the concern both nations had over their common rival, the Soviet Union.
This agrees with the Polish General Staff’s “Case West” war game, revealed after the German capture of Warsaw, which envisioned the Polish army, Europe’s four largest, in possession of Berlin after an invasion planned to succeed in only four weeks. It was Polish strategy to provoke Germany into engaging first, so she could call on London’s guarantee to come to her rescue; but “perfidious Albion” had no intention of honoring her promise, intending to sacrifice Poland in order to have what seemed like a just cause to wage another devastating war on her most feared economic rival.
Just a week earlier, on August 24, Chamberlain’s closest advisor, Sir Horace Wilson, went to Ambassador Joseph Kennedy with an urgent appeal to President Roosevelt. Regretting that Britain had obligated itself in March to Poland in case of war, Chamberlain wanted the American President to pressure the Poles to return to negotiations with Germany. Presented with this extraordinary opportunity to possibly save the peace of Europe, FDR declined to use his influence with the Polish regime. A clear case can be made that FDR was behind the scenes encouraging Europe to complete the suicide it had begun in 1914. Doing so would clear the path for the US to seize the ultimate prize, domination of England herself, as dreamed by some Founders so long before.

Let us see what Russia wants from the US/NATO:
Russia demanded that NATO withdraw its troops and armaments from all non-NATO countries for 1997, and leave all ex-republics of the USSR alone. This means that NATO must leave Albania, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Northern Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro, and Montenegro, as well as cease all military activity in Ukraine, and other states of Eastern Europe, Transcaucasia, and Central Asia. Next, Russia demanded that no intermediate-range or shorter-range missiles be deployed outside U.S. borders, or in areas of the U.S. that would reach Russia. There should be no U.S. bases on former Soviet territory. There should be no nuclear weapons on foreign territory, neither Russian nor American. Not to transfer nuclear weapons to other countries. No specialists to be trained by foreigners. Bombers should not fly, warships should not sail close to Russia. That is all.
I so enjoyed the Stainless Steel Rat, surprised to discover HH , nom de plume, was abandoned by his father during the depression.
Sometimes it is best that evil gets pummeled.
is that for the lottery?
why do not you mention east germany?
It isn’t my list, it’s Russia’ Foreign Office
okay, thank you. that is quite suspicious. nato’s presence in the former east germany is the precursor of what happens in ukraina today.
When did Thanatopolis DC EVER try to avoid a war? They go looking for it, slobbering like hungry wolverines.
Mr. Shamir, I don’t know why Mr. Unz doesn’t highlight your articles anymore, but they certainly deserve more attention.
Everyone doesn’t eventually get the war they are seeking, one they are sure they will emerge the victor?
So, Nuland and “her band” have been acting independently?
The central issue in the Ukraine War is the status of Russia as a great power.Putting aside the many more superficial issues, both parties understand and agree on this even while they publicly avoid mention of this existential threat to Russia.
The Western propaganda about Russian imperialist ambitions is absurd and laughable considering Russia’ neglect of its conventional military forces as it focused its efforts on perfecting missile delivery systems, including nuclear hypersonic and non-nuclear hypersonic.
The Russophobes in the U.S. Government decided they would provoke Russia into attacking Ukraine, impose economic sanctions and tie down and bleed out their Army to the point that Putin would be deposed. How many times did we hear the big lie,”Russia’s unprovoked invasion of Ukraine.”
There is no indication that the U.S. ever had sincere concerns about the lives that would be lost or the destruction of a nation, and the fact that Zelensky was a willing and eager accomplice does not absolve Americans of responsibility for war crimes on an historic scale.
H. L. Mencken (1880 – 1956): “The men the American people admire most extravagantly are the most daring liars; the men they detest most violently are those who try to tell them the truth.”
The difference between this site and the usual NAYOYO liars is so thin it doesn’t matter it exists. ‘Israel Shamir’ can’t even tell the truth about his own name or nationality. His family and Swedish nation are so embarrassed by his loudmouthed treacherous stupidity they wouldn’t have it any other way.
Isaac Asimov (1920 – 1992): “There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there has always been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that your ignorance is just as good as my knowledge.”
George Orwell, “Political language is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable, and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind.”
This “fateful” event reminded me of the movie in which mental hospital patients pretended to be doctors, took the nurses hostage, and gave the head doctor an ultimatum: “Now we will decide who is sick and who is healthy here.”
Well, you all know how those movies end.
NATO has the right to put their missiles anywhere they want for two reasons:
1. The neighboring country has a criminal record with aggravating circumstances (continuous wars with its own people and neighboring countries).
2) Possesses a nuclear arsenal that poses a threat to NATO countries.
Mary was a virgin for the birth of Jesus the Christ, very God and very man. After that she had children with her husband Joseph, Jesus had brothers and sisters. God destroyed national Israel, Jerusalem, and the temple in A.D. 70. The Christian Church is the New Israel to evangelize the world with the good news of salvation from the eternal punishment of all unrepentant sinners, those who disobey and dishonor God, that’s what sin is, and all mankind, including Mary, except Jesus, are sinners. That includes the Virgin Mary, who even tried to pull Jesus away from his ministry.
