Melons Seed
Although generally called a cantaloupe, varieties that are generally grown are actually muskmelons.
A muskmelon has a rough, web-patterned rind and is commonly four pounds or less in weight. A true cantaloupe is more oval in shape with hard, rough, scaled or warted rinds (not a netted skin) and averages about 2 pounds. Honeydew melons have a sweet pale green flesh and Mediterranean/Casabas have a very sweet pear-like flesh.
