Celeriac Seed
Also known as celery root, knob celery and turnip-rooted celery, celeriac is not as well-known in North America as it is in Europe. Although it's warty exterior is quite ugly, when peeled you will find a creamy white flesh that resembles a turnip and tastes like a subtle blend of celery and parsley. This versatile non-starchy vegetable can be cooked in many ways - boiled, mashed, roasted or even french fried. One half a cup contains only 30 calories, no fat and provides an excellent source of dietary fiber.
