Commercial Grower Information

Credit Applications

We do offer credit terms to commercial growers. In general we ask that accounts that purchase less than $500 a year from us pay cash. We require all new accounts to complete one of the credit applications below, unfortunately we cannot extend new credit by phone. When completing the application please be sure to sign the application and include what size of credit facility (maximum) you feel you need.

Some helpful hints when completing the form:

  • Please do not list credit card companies as credit references as they will not provide us with information.
  • We do request bank information in a section of the form dedicated to banking information but do not include banks in the section for credit references.
  • Some very good references include other seed companies, fertilizer suppliers and packaging suppliers.

When you have completed the form, please fax it back to our credit department using our toll free fax 1-800-272-5560 or mail it to our office. We typically need five business days here to obtain the necessary information from your references.

Credit At Stokes Seeds

Stokes Seeds sends out invoices for all shipments after they are shipped. Terms of payment are printed on the invoice along with any discounts that may apply. Statements are printed the first week of every month and mailed to all customers with a balance owing. Interest on overdue accounts is calculated when the statement is printed. We do try to post all payments received prior to printing the statements but if your payment arrives after the last business day of the month it may appear on next month's statement.

When submitting payment for your account it is helpful to identify which outstanding invoices you are paying.  We do accept checks, bank drafts, postal money orders and credit card payments, please do not send cash by mail. Bank transfers are also acceptable but please warn us of the transfer so we can be sure to apply it to the correct account. It is now possible to make Canadian dollar payments on you account using the bill payment feature on your web banking!
