Asparagus Seed
Asparagus is one of the most nutritionally balanced vegetables. It is low in calories and salt, and is a good source of potassium, fiber, folacin, thiamin & vitamin B6.
When well planted and properly cared for, a plot can produce large, tender spears daily over a 2 month early spring season for up to 15 years. You must have patience though as you don't start getting shoots until the 2nd year. Asparagus must be planted in areas where winter temperatures are below freezing as they need to go through a dormancy period to keep producing.
