Kohlrabi Seed
This member of the cabbage family has a swollen stem that makes it look like a turnip growing on a cabbage root. This stem can be white, purple or green and is topped with a rosette of blue-green leaves. Tasting a lot like broccoli stems, it is very high in dietary fiber and full of Potassium, Vitamin A, C, and calcium.
The stem can be eaten raw, just peel, slice and add to a salad, or it is also delicious cooked and is often used in Asian Noodle soups. The leaves are also versatile and edible.
